STUDY
Ch.37 v.36 Then he was flipped for a profit
Ch.44 v2-13 Benjamin did nothing wrong, yet he is now the center of this. How old would he be?
- Read with all your senses
- Ask questions of the scriptures
- What if we took a moment to pray before we spoke
- Before we told someone they were wrong or couldn’t do it
- Even if they don’t see like or look like they can
- Joseph at the time did look like it either
- How does all of this relate to the original dream / calling
- The enemy works to weaken our resolve
- Focus heavily on brothers
- How aggressive they were against him
- Then they have the dream of needing help
- Then the are so needy
- Then Josephs response
- Family dynamics Baggage
we let our trama, past, or even current relationships
Josephs brothers betrayed him in the most possible way but still redaimed in at the end of the day
- How many times has God spoken to you but you refused it, say it was Satan, or something other than God
The callousness of his brothers is underlined by their activity after stripping him and throwing him into the waterless wilderness pit: they sat down to eat bread (37:25). All this while Joseph was certainly crying out, pleading with them, but they refused to listen (42:21). Eating bread together was an act of bonding and unity (14:18; 18:5; 31:54), though it also was the context of their father’s betrayal of his brother (25:34; 27:17). More ironically still, their survival will someday depend on bread supplied by Joseph himself (41:54-55; 47:12).
Josephs dreams made his brothers mad at him and think they didn’t need him anymore but their actions put him the place that made them need him
Joseph (actually God) to care of his brothers while their father was alive but got scared once he was dead
- they worried that he was only taking care of them - to not hurt his father
- they got scared and he told them that was dumb
- APPLY THAT TO USE AND GOD
