“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4)
promise — noun. a verbal commitment by one person to another agreeing to do (or not to do) something in the future
to promise — verb. to make a verbal commitment by one person to another agreeing to do (or not to do) something in the future.
I. The Bible Promises Pardon ThatConverts
“Repent … and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out”, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
(Acts 3:19)
A. God’s pardoning grace converts our will, ways, work, and walk. “Old things are passed away” (2 Cor. 5:17).
B. We must come to God just as we are insimple, trusting faith (Eph. 2:8).
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
C. God’s amazing grace is sufficient to forgive all—who repent and forsake their sins.
