Genesis 29:16-30

Introduction

This is the story of a trickster who is about to meet the nemesis. The one who has a few tricks of his own. Needless to say, the Bible is true that you will reap what you sow.

He Woke Up To Find That The One He Had Wasn't The One He Expected

The question to ask is whether or not Rachel was aware of the customs of the country in which she resided. If she was, then that makes her an accessory to the deceit.

  • Rachel had to have known the customs.
    1. Leah had to have been in on it to.
    2. now the man who is known for deceit and trickery is being bamboozled.
    3. Leah has to be covered so that she is no longer recognizable

The Real Difference Between Rachel and Leah

Sometimes you have to be sober minded when you choose who it is that you are involving yourself with.

  • Leah's description.....
    1. Leah was the older sister, or eldest.
    2. Leah was tender eyed
  • Rachel's description.....
    1. Rachel is beautiful
    2. Rachel has a nice shape
    3. Rachel has the physical attraction that a man would love to have.

At The End Of The Day, He Worked For Them Both

And I am convinced that whenever you analyze who you are with, you should look for the Rachel and the Leah on the inside.

  • Rachel is the one that you are attracted to.
    1. and it is important that you get somebody that you can stand to look at everyday.
    2. looks cannot be the whole requisite but it plays an important part.
    3. Rachel is the one that you are willing to work for.
  • Leah may not be the best looking woman in the world, but she is good for you.
    1. Leah will work for you.
    2. she is productive
