GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH WHO WE ARE? WHY WE ARE HERE? March 20, 2022 GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  If We Are Going Impact Our World For Jesus Christ:  We Must Know  Who We Are  Why We Are Here GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  There Is Something That Separates Us From All Other Organizations:  We Are Here As A Result Of The Divine Will And Call Of The Lord Of All Creation GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Who Are We? And Why Are We Here? We Are Called By God God We Are Chosen By The Church Is God's Instrument Of Choice To Impact His World (1 Pet 2:9 NIV) But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Church = “Ekklesia”= “Called Out”  The Church Is A Group That Is: Called Together For God's Purpose GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  JESUS SAID: "I will build my church... And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" God Will Prevail Build His Church He Will GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  We Are Together As The Church As A Direct Result Of The Will Of God  We Are God's #1 Draft Picks To Accomplish He's Got A Job He Has Chosen Us To Do It  The Church Is God's Idea GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Who Are We? And Why Are We Here?  We Are Here Because We Are Doing God's Will  Around The World In The Church The Will Of God Is Being Accomplished GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  There Is A Worldwide Growth Of The Church That Cannot Be Stopped  God Will Continue To Bless The Church Because It Is His Instrument Of Grace To A World That Is Looking For A Savior GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  What Our World Needs Is The Hope, Love, And Power To Change Life That Only Jesus Christ Can Give  The Chief Instrument That God Has Chosen To Bring Hope, Love And Power To The World, Is The Church GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  God Has Called Us Into The Church So The World Can See Jesus Through Us  John 3:17 “For God Did Not Send His Son Into The World To Condemn The World, But That The World Through Him Might Be Saved.” GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Who Are We? And Why Are We Here?  The Church Is Ordinary People Responded To God's Call Who Have GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  People That Make Up The Church:  Profess Trust In Jesus Christ  Meet Together To Worship Him  Seek To Enlist Others To Become His Followers  The Church Is Ordinary People Who Are Made Extra-Ordinary GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  The Early Church Was Made Up Of Ordinary People  Uneducated & Untrained  Yet, They Were Used By God To Begin The Most Precious And Holy Organization In All Of Creation The Church GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  The Church Started And Grew  Not In The Power Of Humanity  Not In The Buildings  Not In The Programs  Not In The Organizational Structure  The Church Goes And Grows In The Power Of God GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Great Things Happen To Us In The Church All The Time: It's Not About Us It's About God  Everything We Have Accomplished Is Because: God Choose Us God Is For Us God Is Working Through Us GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  Who Are We? And Why Are We Here?  We Are Those Concerned Over The Spiritual Plight Of Mankind GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.(16) Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. We Have Concern For The Lost Because: Those Who Are Lost Those Who Do Not Believe Those Who Do Not Receive Jesus Christ = STAND CONDEMNED  (Mark 16:15 NIV) GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  We Don't Want Any To Perish  We Want All To Have Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ  We Freely Give Ourselves In That Endeavor GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  We Care About Things In Our Community That Affect The Spiritual Tone:  We  We  We  We  We Care Care Care Care Care About About About About About Our Our Our Our The Government Schools Businesses Neighbors Down And Outers GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH  We Care About The Spiritual Condition Of The People God Has Placed In Our Lives  Those  Those  Those  Those Who We Have Crossed Paths With In Our Family On Our Jobs In Our Neighborhood GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH We Bring And Include Those We Know Who Do Not Have A Relationship With Jesus Christ We Share Jesus With Them We Bring Them To The Church so that: They Will Be Gripped By The Spirit Of God They Will See A Transformation Of Their Lives The Chains Of Sin Will Be Broken Their Names Will Be Written In The Lambs Book Of Life GOD'S CALL TO THE CHURCH We Are Called And Chosen By God We Are Doing God's Will We Are Just Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things Through The Power Of The Holy Sprit We Are Concerned Over The Plight Of The Unsaved And We Are Committed To Seeing Them Get To Know Jesus
