Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our debts. As we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation, but Deliver Us by nine and a half hour in the glory.

Island.
Today's scripture reading comes out of Genesis chapter 18, verse 20. 26. Then God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heaven. And over the wife's talking, over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creeps. So God created, man in his own image. In the image of God. He created them male and female, he created them, you please rise and let's read the affirmation of faith.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living, God got, as we come before you. I pray that our hearts would be attuned to you and you alone. Lord. Give us each Grace and allow us to see you in New Life. We're thankful that you have shown us your love through. Jesus were thankful that we all come together to worship Jesus alone in Christ and I pray. Amen.
As we prepared to come before communion table this morning. We need to remember that Jesus was with his disciples for Passover and a saver. Taking a Passover feast. Jesus broke bread, instead, take this in remembrance of me and likewise, the cup when he shared it with him. He could take this in remembrance of me for this is my, my blood that I share for you. so now we will have meaning him, which is 434.
I had in the father as we come before your table this morning. We ask that you be with us and open our hearts and our mind to the message saying bring to it. We ask your blessing on these emblems symbols of Jesus's, broken, body, and shed blood. May be reminded of his sacrifice on the cross for us. We asked the Lord that you do with those that are here. Those that could not be here for illness or whatever reason. We ask that you be with our speaker and blesses his words in your name. We pray these things in Jesus most. Holy and precious name.
Harlan father, we thank you for today and many blessings. You give us rescue business is coming. We can let the people in the crane and help them this coming year, those who are sick and though, you can be here in Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
You know, who saying is and he's been here before, we sure do. Appreciate you coming again.
To stretch from sky.
Girl games.
10000.
That was wonderful. You know, I almost thought I wasn't going to get an introduction which means I've preached here enough that I didn't need one and I was actually excited about it. And then you took that away from me. So I am thankful to be back. God is so good. And I love coming in and just sharing what God is doing in and just being able to preach. So many times, I get around too many young people and it's nice to be around. I'll just adults for a while. He hung himself. It's nice last week last month. I had an opportunity to go down to San Antonio along with about 11:00 staff and then about 11:00 spouses or other guests from fellowship of Christian athletes from all across. The not only the United States but across the world and we got to see an amazing thing that I want to share with you all just one because of your passion for Ukraine and praying and setting up a fun to give it to support. But also just because God is so good. So we have 20 28, staff members, staff FDA staff people in Ukraine, the week before everything, in Russia, went went off and all of the turmoil. That happen 14 of the staff members came over here for a international staff training and support, did not know what was going to happen. They came over the Rex Lee in Kansas City right now, but an amazing thing happened at this conference, we have about 2,200 staff and their spouses gathered from all across the nation, including 14 from Ukraine, and two, from Russia, and on-stage. Those ukrainians were on stage. When we prayed over them. And not only did we prayer from our Russian Ambassador. Also prayed over them and with them. And one of the there's very few moments that I feel that God just like completely humbles in a way that is so globally. As a room of all of us, just were humbled by the prayer and love of Jesus. That transcends all borders, transcends, all languages. It was really cool. Cuz I went to bootcamp actually with one of the Ukrainian staff and just leaving to talk to them and I was talking to some of the Dominican Republic and I realize I need to learn Spanish because I didn't know much English and it was really cool to see that even if we didn't speak the language, even if we weren't the same color, even if we really had nothing else in common, the commonality of Jesus Christ, being our Lord and savior transcends, all boundaries that can ever be done with an encouragement me over this last month and I wanted to share with you all as well. Just to thank y'all for support. Thank you for what you're doing for Ukraine. Thank you for your prayers because it matters. It matters, more than we can ever know, and it breaks my heart that we live in a broken world. But because of the Brokenness God didn't leave us there after 1, it says that God created in the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth and the Earth was without form and void and darkness was over the face of the deep. In the spirit of God, was hovering over the face of the water and waste more than me have studied this verse in a taking this and do so deep into it. That God in the Trinity was perfectly content, not needing. But how does a desire to create? They could have been content where they were for ever? But I love the love and creativity that God had. He's in begins to shape and form everything around us and it goes into creating time space and matter. In the beginning, God created the heavens space in the earth in matter and he filled it goes on. He begins to feel all of this and it was perfect. There's no death. There's no pain. And guess what? There was no age limit cap. You just kept aging a forever. There was no death in. There was nothing in there and there's nothing that tells with Noah becomes really, really old or Abraham becomes really, really old. Like I look at some of them and they're like they had kids at like crazy ages and there was no cat and that is a beautiful thing. Beautiful thing, that none of us really can comprehend. Because all we know on this side of Earth is we do know destruction. We do know Wars, we do no pay. And if we didn't open my panel just in this room, we could fill up the entire week of stories of where sin has impacted each. One of our Lives has hurt each one of us and has brought us to our knees. What the Bible is all about perspective. It's all about perspective and there's a Chinese story of the Soul Chinese farmer and he was out for me and he had one horse in the horse ran away. And then all of the Neighbors come to, this is such a bad thing that this has happened. And he goes, maybe, maybe it's bad. Will see the next day, the horse comes back and has seven other wild horses running with it and they'll come back. And so now this guy has eight horses and all the people as Neighbors come together in this. This is such an amazing thing that it will see later that week. The, the farmer's son was riding. One of the wild horses, trying to break into a man, and he got bucked off, and he broke his leg. That not all the neighbors came around and it said, this is such a bad thing that has happened. In a farmer Man. Simply said, maybe we'll see. Later that week the military comes by to recruit young men for war. And they look at the young son who just broke his leg said, sorry, you are unfit to go to war and all the Neighbors come back and say such good news. That you have come in your son and doesn't have to go to war. The farmer says, maybe we'll see. The thing is, is we go from these emotional highs to these, valleys and up and down, but we don't know perspective. Like God knows perspective. All eternity is in his hands in the small things that happen to us sometime consumer whole reality because it's always see, the God says, just wait. I'm working good things through every situation, the Bad and the good. And we see this in the Genesis 1 World. Some fun facts about creation one is there was no death. We kind of just talked about that ride and it is said they live like 900 years old in all these ages that are crazy. There's no debt. I will talk about a little bit more but there's not even death of animals. And so I know some of you like some steak, right? But they weren't chopping down those cows. There was no dad and it's amazing thing. Just to know that there is no death. I look around, just the world and I think about just in a week. How much death do I see? Even if it's just me smashing a bug, right? Like I see death all around. There was a wasp that got in your house. I was baiting Charlie or four month old daughter. I'm in their bathtub and my wife comes running in there and said, I got this. You go to the kitchen. There's a wasp. I need you to kill it, right? Even the death of a y. Wasn't a thing in the creation. Well, I'm reading a little bit into the lines. But if there is no death, I can assume that the next amazing thing was out of Genesis 2:6. It says this in a Mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground. There was a water miss that either came up from the ground or Hubbard on the ground. That water is everything. No sprinkler system needed. God, watered and took care of the ground. Yes. There was still some work to be done. But one of the major things was the ground in a toilet gainst us. It was good. Another one in in me and Jeff we went on one and he he wanted me to share a little bit of this with you. And finally I'm kind of got around to where it's a time. I think to appropriately share. This is there was a canopy of water around the earth. Scientists have talked about this and looked at it scientifically. This would have created a greenhouse effect and I'm going to nerd out a little bit on this. I wrote a little paper on this. There's an amazing Museum in Glen Rose, Texas called The Creation Museum, and if you've never been, it is worth a trip on a Saturday, to go see it. They had amazing different pieces of creation artifacts in and they just are people who love God and love science. Love the Bible in where a lot of people look at science and say science in the Bible are conflicting. They say no science in the Bible are in Harmony. In the more we understand science, in the more. We understand. The more we see those things fit together in this amazing greenhouse effect that they talk about comes out of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 6, and it says this and God said let there be an expanse in the midst. The water and let it separate the waters, from the waters and God made expanse, me separated. And one of these words and my Bible. I've got a little note, there. It is his experience and then down there at the bottom. It says, or a canopy it. So there's this expanse or canopy of water above it. Now. I'm in college and so my science knowledge is a lot down actually fill up the fitting that our relationship. I actually message Phillip for my science project in my junior year. It said Philip. I need a good science project and he helped me and I got I know you probably don't even remember that but he helped me my science project with how to separate salt and sugar once they've all got together. And it was an amazing thing that I went down the rabbit hole in actually taught me a lot for signs that I didn't have in really cool thing is, it's best just to throw it out. If you mix them up together or use it as a prank. So in this in this mist of all this science that there's as canopy it would have created this greenhouse effect. And in one of things I studied. Is there a hyperbaric chamber there and all that means in Sign Language ride. I'm going to use it in my language is that there is a pressurized oxygen container. So it's a container, they pressurize it and they put more oxygen in there. And so they balance it out to where we have more oxygen. The recovery time that happened within there are amazing in 2004 a well-known wide receiver named Terrell Owens was was set to have a really good career that year until he broke his ankle and he also tore ligaments within his thing. So the 2004 Super Bowl against the Patriots Terrell Owens with was deemed unfit to play for mini games including that one. So the entire season was ruled out there alone, winds had a hyperbaric chamber and used it in. Comes before, but he got in that hyperbaric chamber and he did hyperbaric chamber therapy. I think I might have another one hyper hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This is what does the official Destiny definition for improve circulation is often used in conjunction with physical therapy to treat. Chronic muscle pain and acute injuries. It allows the oxygen to penetrate three times deeper into the damaged tissue. That can drastically speed up healing times and Recovery just amazing stuff that happened so we got in there not only did Terrell Owens make it back from a broken bone and ligament damage in his ankle. But he played in the Super Bowl and he made 62 out of 72 of the place. So we played basically the entire game and he just play he had a good game. And it's amazing that this healing process. From the hyperbaric chamber, something that God would have put in place in the creation allowed healing. There's two other studies. I want to cite. Okay, I'm getting a little nerdy on you, and I'm okay with that. There's two other one, is tomato plants in Japan. So they put tomato plants in Japan into a hyperbaric chamber and they allow them to start growing. The amazing thing is that it didn't just start rapping when I thought it was time. It kept growing until you actually picked them off the branch and then it would start writing. And so these tomato plant started growing enormously huge, and you had to tend and keep the gardens crazy. The second one is, they put snakes in there and they bred snakes poisonous snakes in the Venom actually reversed. It wasn't poisonous until I look at snakes. And if you're like me by see a snake a dead snakes, a good snake. And so in a hyperbaric setting the Venom, is it actually dangerous? It's a Not only would there not have been death, but a snake would not have been poisonous even if you saw a snake. So kind of gives a little bit of flow in there about the free-fall, the creation that God designed a good world where there was no death or the, the plants were self-watering, right? Where everything we had worked together for good, but we all know the story of Saint, we all know it so well in our own lives, like I said, we could fill an entire week of doing but we all know it is. So Genesis chapter 3 verse Bibles. We're going to be in Genesis 3:16. Adam and Eve day. They have the, they have the fruit, the fruit presented to him and Adam and Eve were there, even course takes and eats out of his with, her doesn't stop her from doing it. Lets her. Do the also takes any who's to blame Adam, does the best thing in the world? It's her has the best thing in the world today. I've got a four-month-old. I can blame it on. I don't get much sleep. That's what we love to do. We love to make excuses to blame. It's not my fault in someone else's fault that you had kids, you know, exactly little kids are the best at blaming everything else, but themselves teenagers are even better at it. In myself, I mean address because I've learned what works and what doesn't work, right? And so there's only so many times you can say, my dog, ate my paper, and they go, Sam, you don't have a dog. And so as we dive into Genesis chapter 3, we're going to see what hap what God Said. And it says this in Genesis chapter 3, Starting in verse 14, the Lord God said to the serpent because you have done this cursed. Are you above all Lots. Above? All the beasts of the field on your belly. You shall go from dust. You shall lead all the days of your eye. I will put enmity between you and the woman in between your Offspring and her Offspring. He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel to the woman. He said, I'll shall surely multiply your pains in childbearing and paying you so bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you and to Adam, he said because you have listened you and have you have eaten of the tree for which I commanded you not to you shall not eat. Cursed is the ground because of you in the pain, you shall eat of it all the days of your life forms and thistles it shall bring forth from you, and you should eat of the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face, you shall eat bread till you return to the ground for out of it. You were taken for. You are dust and to dust you shall return. God as we dive into your words and look at your, your scriptures. I pray that you would just draw hearts to know that you created a good world. But you're also redeeming a broken world and through the messiness and through the Brokenness. God. We hope and we long for heaven. But God, I pray that you would give us glimpses of Heaven here and now and allow us to see where you are working and just like that Chinese man who took every bad situation and said, we will see. I pray that our hearts would be a tune to say. We will see where you will work. Good at all of our situations. In Christ's name. I pray. Amen. So, he took the serpent in, and he cursed the serpent, because of it, and then it gets little women ride, real short, really easy, but it wasn't that short and easy for you that I had baby's, isn't it? You look at this. One of you say, this is the worst part of sin. It says, I will multiply your pains in childbearing. Now. I'm a man, so I'm not going to speak on it too much because it says, in the Bible that a full can remain as if he keeps his mouth shut. So I will not try to defend how like men also had to endure in that kind of effect, but when y'all are amazing, for being able to bear that in my wife, I looked at her when we had our 2 kids and I just said, wow, it is amazing. What the human body can endure. And so that happens in the next one. It says to Adam it says under the ground would be cursed because of you is as in you're paying you shall eat of it all the days of your life Burns and thistles which in my Translation of the Bible says he put them all in Texas as mesquite trees and Vines translation. Not the Bible translation is his issue. Bring forth to you. And so the ground which was so yielding of its fruit, right? So ready to Bear. Then takes a curse. We got some souness together and we were at the Pearsons house and he moved all this what he thought was really fertile soil and it probably was fertile is all soft and fluffy and he moved it and it set for 2 days and we pray for rain. But in those two days, it dried out and became Rock became like concrete. So, me and some students were over there, and we're trying to make a garden out of this amount of solid rock, clumps in dirt and it wage war against us. If you've ever had a garden, you know, this that that weeds grow up at thistles & Thorns, they cut and they choke out and they strangle everything that is living in it. And it's it's amazing to see that. That wasn't the plan and I don't know what exactly, it's supposed to look like. But I know that like some of these other things that grow When I Grow garden, right? Aren't supposed to go. And even when I do get fruit, that does grow, I usually get busy and forget to water it and it doesn't make it. And so we see a direct result of this. in in as I said, there was there was no death actually in Genesis 9:3, it says this This is a right after the flood and in God, go ahead and he starts talking a little bit more. And it says, this is says, every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you green plants, I also give you everything. So not only did in the death, did the soil, start pulling against us, but that no death thing. I just opened up and said, you can have steak, which is a really good verse, but doesn't come in a really good way, right? He comes after the whole Humanity. Everything was flooded. The only living things in as much as Noah, probably wanted to stake. It was real. I'm really glad he didn't kill the two cows that were there to have steak and filet the first night of a post blood and he did some amazing things, but God did open that up. And so deaf, that is so much around us that wasn't started pulling against us. And also have another verse I believe. Must have wrote it down. I believe it is. Genesis chapter 6. Yep, Genesis chapter 6 verse 11. It says this when men began to multiply on the face of the Earth, and so this is before, the flood in the daughters, were born to them in the sons of God, saw that the daughter man were attracted. They took as their wives, as they as they chose in the Lord said this, my spirit shall not abide in me and forever for his flesh. His day. She'll be number to 120 years ago. We see that this long life that God has given us, he doesn't want us to have a long life so that we can live in sin that we can live in pain. We can live in turmoil against one another. We want us to have a long life over glorifying him, loving him, and has a whole creation of working together in harmony. And so he limits the human live to 120 years until all of these consequences are seeing, which we just know his life, right? And you don't know what it's like, just leave your grass to water itself and for it to be green and tropical. You don't know what it's like to have a canopy above the Earth. Where all those bone aches just miraculously the oxygen gets three times deeper into all those aches and joints and helps you heal even faster. We don't know what it's like to 120 years old. Actually be the prime of your life, like you just hitting your twenties. We don't know what any of this is, like, an But we get glimpse of it all throughout the Bible. God shows us that not only do we have glimpses of this, but we are called to be people who go out and take back, what God has commanded until Jesus. Demonstrated, this in a mighty way, there's death. And there's a man named Lazarus who died in. Jesus goes back, and he goes into there and he says, I am not only Jesus, a man from the Son of God, that I created the whole world. That death doesn't obey death. Give me any calls out. To this guy who's been dead for three days and said Lazarus come forth. And when Jesus says Be Alive, you have no other option but to be alive. And so, Jesus arose from the dead. It was a blind man in the eye. It actually consumes about 30% of your brains function for you to be able to see and process. All of the information about 30% of your brain is about 30% of his brain. That was meant to function so that he can see and process life and to be able to relay all this stuff back and forth was not functioning 30% of the brain. That is a pretty big part. Jesus, the power of God, command, even the functions of the brain, that doesn't work, which gives me hope, right eyesight. When I start doesn't work, when all these things don't work. He gives us glimpses of what heaven's like. And he goes on and he takes the food. He takes some Loaves and some some fish n. E x them. Crease out of nothing will increase house something, but he multiplies it, and we have this amazing law that we when Sciences says that matter cannot be created nor destroyed. Except for Jesus says, I'm Lord of all. If I want to create food, I will create food. Jesus Takes an amazing trip walking across water. Something that's not meant to be solid and to hold the lord of the universe knows all and he does this the power of the god that has been given to each one of us. It will become the biggest miracle that God does. Is he takes out of the Serpent's curse where he says, I did not put them on their self. Look, back over there to Genesis chapter 3, when he takes the serpent. He's talking to Stayton. He says, I will bring an offspring of the woman and I'll put in between between you and her and he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel. This is a direct image of Jesus coming in the future. This is a prophecy that Jesus would come and when Jesus comes in all of the genealogy is tracking. He's to Jesus tracking that Adam de Jesus. Their offspring bringing forth. Jesus. And what happens with Jesus? Does? He get struck down and put into a tomb? Yeah, but does he defeat death? Does he defeats in? So that we're as we go through our lives, we can remember in Revelation when it says, I wipe away every tear would be no more pain. Will be no more death. All of these things. We see in creation, that seems so far off God promises through Jesus, that he is Our Redeemer that when we hope in him, it's so much more than just saying. God. I trust you. It's Jesus proving true life changing us. It's him taking all of the effects of sin, the hundred and twenty years, the ground, the childbirth, all of these pains that we have and he's restoring. And that is the best. Hope we have and he allows us to be people who share it with others. In the amazing thing is, is that God doesn't conflict against science. It actually goes hand-in-hand. And so when I see stuff, it's one or two things either. I don't understand God and I can't comprehend what God is doing. Where I don't understand my own world in my heart needs adjusting. And those two things because it is true. It always winds up. As my son is learning how to do numbers and got this chart of 100 on there and I'm trying to teach him how to count on my 4 + 5 is what? And he's looking, and he starts at 4. He goes for 54. + 5 is 5. No, it's not. There's a truth. No matter what he believes 4 + 5 is there's a truth. If you have more sheep and you had five to it, you have a a set number God is the same way. Whatever, doubts, we may have whatever struggles. We go through whenever sin consequences that is brought on us or our family. We look at home with our perspective and sometimes we see him as a bad thing. But we need to see him as a God thing. The number of how bad a situation is. God can use it for good because God takes a broken world and he transforms it into hope Jesus. He took water. And somehow you turned it into why? I don't know about this, but water is lacking. A lot of things. A lot of things in there to turn into wind. There's no grain there. There's no great. You know what? I mean? There's there's nothing else. The biggest thing that's lacking is time. If you ask me to give me water, even if you give me all the ingredients, you said, turn this into want one. I don't know how to turn it into a YouTube video and said I needed in the next 10 minutes. I don't have the time to do it. It's not a matter of if. But Jesus is Jesus over time is Lord, over tithe space and matter. Because he has done that, he gives us hope. Not only has he gives the people of Ukraine because the people of Henrietta, he gives the people that we think are murderers and deserve the pits of hell. He gives them. Hope. Now it's up for them to choose repentance, but he gives us hope. So, whatever, bad situation you encounter. You see other people encounter. Remember that God wants to use that in some way to bring it back to him.
God, I'm so thankful that you give us the opportunity to come together and just study your word and, and Lord. I know that my understanding of your word is so limited. I got them. Humbled that the Holy Spirit shows us who you are. It's a God. I pray that if we just come and we looked at your word and we looked at the fall and we looked at the creation and we look forward to the future. I pray that our perspective would be a Jesus perspective. That we would see you as the Creator is the midst of, no matter what obstacle, we can give it over to you, for your glory. Whatever trouble. We can give it to you for your glory. I pray that the Lost would know this truth and come to believe this truth. I pray that the world would come to believe this truth. And God lord. I pray that as we fight against Satan a Satan would remember that you have defeated death. We love you in Christ. Can I pray? Amen?
Are closing human? 11.
As you leave, I pray that God would show us his perspective. Got your timing is better than our timing, your way is better than our way. And God I pray that we would surrender that to you. That you would show us how to live in your world. I pray that we fight against in the fight against darkness and seek Jesus. In Jesus name. I pray, amen.
