The Right Mindset

Introduction - If you’re going to do Anything of eternal value you have to get your mindset right.

- We need to know WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.

We cannot consistently perform in a manner inconsistent with the way we see ourselves.

Favor Relationship

Whose I Am

Omnipotent

Omniscient

Omnipresent

Transcendant

Eternal

Self existing

Unfailing

Merciful

He set us up for success

Holy Spirit

Defeated hell death and the grave

Son was dealt with

The Law was fulfilled

The Law differed To Greater Workss To Greater Works

John 14:12-14 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

Believe enough to get to work

We’ll do greater things. Why? He set us up for success.

Joshua was about to do the impossible and unimaginable.

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Meditation isn’t emptying our minds. It’s focusing and filling the mind with so much truth it comes out our mouths.

Doing it NOT knowing it will make your way prosperous.

Retrain Your Brain

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

How do we meditate and renew our mind?

Cast down vain imaginations. 2 Cor. 10:5 What Jesus did in His obedience. Wipe out worry. Negate Negative thinking

Set your minds - Col 3:2 Put or place our thougths

Gird up the loins of your mind. 1 Peter 1:13 The belt of truth holds the armor in place. Eph 6:14

Meditate on the truth - Josh 1:8 Power producing thoughts

When?

Meditate Day And Night

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua is told to meditate day and night. Paul says, we are to transform our minds.

Joshua says then we will be prosperous and have good success.

Paul says we will prove the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God.
