Matthew 26:6–13 (CSB)
While Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman approached him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume. She poured it on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw it, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. “This might have been sold for a great deal and given to the poor.”
Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for me. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me. By pouring this perfume on my body, she has prepared me for burial. Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

Is it really worth it??

We are kicking off a brand new series leading right up to Easter. Series is called “ 30 Pieces of Silver “. We all like to think we’re nothing like Judas the betrayer, who trader Jesus in for 30 Pieces of Silver. Nobody wants to be Judas. If we did casting call for a stage play right now. Nobody is raising there hand to say give the Judas role. I was built for this, nobody is saying that. But if we really examine our hearts , we all have things we tend to trade in for Jesus each day. Whether its comfort, power, control or even some other idol thats big in your life. We tend to give Jesus the backseat or even worst trade Him in all together, so something else can get our number attention. Man, temptation is something we face each day of our lives. We have to make a decision each day are we going to choose you Jesus or choose another way. I’m praying this series the Holy Spirit will show us where we need to repent and let Him in so we can treasure the beauty of Christ. That this series will show, that Gods way is always the best way. Theres is no way better than the way that God has paved fore you. I know most the dont agree with His way. I know His way may seem a little bumpy. I know His way may seem its taking longer. But His way creates a beauty like no other. A love like no other. His way is always worth.

But the devil will always have us questioning… is it really worth it???

Is it worth trusting God
Is it worth the sacrifice
is it worth going to church
is it worth living a righteous life
is it worth returning my tithe and giving
is it really worth it
See the devil will always have you questioning “ is it really worth it”. I bet you asking that question about something in your life right now. Is it really worth it?
The reason why we ask that question is because majority of the time, the sacrifice does not make sense to the mind.
Jesus seems to always be teaching us things that doesnt make sense to the mind. The human mind can not grasp the teaching of Jesus sometimes, why is Jesus teaching me this and why is he choosing this way to bring things about. It may not make sense to the mind, but it make sense to the heart. My heart knows that it is worth it. My mind doesnt understand it but my hesrt knows this is the way,.
Don’t allow the distraction to pull you away.
Satan loves to start small with his temptations
Because temptation is real. Your enemy has various ways to tempt you, to pull you away from the purpose that God has your for life. Temptation is a trial. Its when we are being put to the test. God doesnt tempt so every temptation comes from the devil. The temeptation always loves to attract our eyes. Because he knows if he can get my focus off the mark whuch is Jesus, then he can influence. He cant stop me, but he loves to influcent me.
Juxtapostion
Is these 11 scriptures, there are twomextreames happeniong here
Judas
one of the twelve disciples
he walks with Jesus three years
he sees miircles upfront in person by Jesus
Despite a personal witness he still chooses personal ambition over Jesus
Could it be He chooses another way because in the house, he still thought it wasnt worth it.
A misdiagnose of its value will eventually leads to deapprection.
If you dont see the value how can you ever apprection it.
If you dont understand its value, how would you ever know how much its worth.
