Don't Forget To Remember the Gift of God’s Presence-Leviticus 26:11-13

Greetings; Prayer; REVIVAL

INTRO: Presence - How would you act if your favorite movie star showed up at your home and said “I want to see you, talk with you, spend a month with you.”

God’s Presence fills the heavens and the earth. Jer 23:24 “Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”

PS 139:7 “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!”

God Presence fills believers…God is with US!

THE GIFT OF GOD PRESENCE RESTORES OUR DETAIL - v.11

God says I WILL LIVE AMONG YOU…In the OT God lived in the Tabernacle and theTemple. Now, God Lives among you (pl) by living in you (sing).

My Presence is Your Detail.

DETAIL = that thing that makes me, “ME!” Makes you stand out from the crowd.

Natural - Name; Family Reputation; Job

Spiritually - You are who God says you are! 1 Peter 2:9 “You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession.”

Your reputation is Christ. Gal 2:20 “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”

Your job is your service for Him…HONORABLE. Eph 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

God says I WILL LIVE AMONG YOU…I will not ABHOR you. Abhor=despise; detest.

John 1:12 “To all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”

God says I WILL LIVE AMONG YOU…I won’t despise you…I WILL ESTABLISH YOUR DETAIL.

Romans 8:1 “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”

The GIFT OF GOD’S PRESENCE RESTRUCTURES OUR DEPENDENCY - V. 12

Heavy Police presence at tourist attractions gives ease to the mind. You depend on their presence.

God says “Because of my PRESENCE you can DEPEND on me.”

Jn 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. Apart from me you can do nothing.” SO DEPEND ON ME FOR EVERYTHING!

Worry is useless because of His presence - 2 Thess 3:3 “The Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”

The Angel of the Lord encamps…Angels keep watching over me.

IS 54:17 “No weapon formed against you will prosper. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord”

RESTRUCTURE Spiritually = 2 Cor 6:16 “And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols?

UNION = MARRIED PEOPLE CANNOT DEPEND ON OTHERS.

UNION WITH GOD = We can NOT depend on anything OR anyone other than God. Not GOVERNMENT; NOT MYSTICISMS; NO UNION with Our God!

THE GIFT OF GOD’S PRESENCE RECALLS OUR DELIVERANCE - v.13

Deliverance must be recalled in order to REJOICE!

Don’t Forget To Remember...

I AM…the Lord your God...

brought you out of Egypt. Bondage of Sin; No longer Slaves to Sin;

broke the yoke from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high.

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS DELIVERANCE.

CLOSE: God is bringing us of…and carrying us INTO...
