15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”
The reality of avoiding death

14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, To turn aside from the snares of death.
14 תּוֹרַ֣ת חָ֭כָם מְק֣וֹר חַיִּ֑ים לָ֝ס֗וּר מִמֹּ֥קְשֵׁי מָֽוֶת׃

10 O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
27 There is Benjamin, the youngest, ruling them, The princes of Judah in their throng, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
11 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, That one may avoid the snares of death.
22 Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, But the discipline of fools is folly.
4 The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.
God has given us His Word in order to have the ability to avoid the corruptions of Satan, the World, and the flesh.
