I Forgave and Did Not Judge
We tend to have an erred concept of what judgement is and whether or not we are even supposed to judge in any way.
Peer who stated a vehicle backed in to her and she saw the person was on the phone. Her immediate response was to get angry and judge her critically.
She said she could have been angry and responded in anger, but instead she forgave her. After all the insurance would handle it.
In that moment she approached the woman who hit her and said, I want you to know although I should judge you for being on the phone and distracted I am choosing to forgive you, because the bible says not to judge.
This woman is a well versed theologian. How could she say something so, contra scripture.
Scripture does not tell us not to judge, it cautions us to use caution in the manner we judge, our judgement should be in kind with how we are to be judged.
Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
And this we will do if God permits.
Final of the six doctrines of Jesus Christ: Eternal Judgement
Eternal Judgement Deals with:
Deeds, Rewards, and Punishments
Do not dismiss the grace of God or Salvation
Two Types of Judgement
Judgement is in escapable, but we become participant in being judged in as we are to judge.
Eternal Judgement Teaches us To Judge by The Standard Jesus Exemplifies.

Two Types of Judgement
Two Types of Judgement
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.
And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
The Great White Throne Judgment
We will be raised everyone of us to be judged
Everyone saved and Unsaved are Judged
Each will be judged based on their deeds
Two books
The book of Life
Salvation
Sin has been removed as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12)
The book of Deeds
the deeds they had done
what they did in this life is revealed.
Not talk about judgement of the unbeliever but focus on the believer.
Judging the House
Judging the House
But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler.
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.
For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
Judgement Begins in the House of the Lord.
Judgement is not Withheld from the Saved…
Question if our Salvation is preserved what then are we being Judged on?
Not Sin
Judging Our Deeds
Judging Our Deeds
so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
He is not coming back to deal with our sins or anybodies sin for that matter that was dealt with on the cross
He will judge us based on what we have done
Parable of the Talents exemplifies this…
Matt 25:14-30 Judgment of those Who were Entrusted with His Property
At some point we have all been entrusted with His property
Spouse
Children
Finances
Ministry
At some point we will all be called to account for what we did with that. v.19
To one He says well done good and faithful servant
You were faithful in the little (even when they had been given much)
I am going to put you over much… Enter into the Joy of Your Master
To one He says You wicked slothful servant
You should have taken and invested at least...
He loses what was entrusted to Him
Cast out of His presence...
Our Posture of Judging
Our Posture of Judging
Contrary to what some believe scripture does not tell us to not to judge
Be a qualified Judge and judge with the righteousness of God not Man’s Standard
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?
God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”
Quit wasting your breath judging those who are not saved. (They are already dead)
Instead bring them to a relationship with Christ
Jesus Judges the Church thats What our Focus should be
Not my place to go tell churches they are wrong unless the Holy Spirit sends me
Look internally how is my church doing
Judge righteously amongst each other… the principle of the ruler you use will be used against you… very much applies
Prepared and Appointed to Judge
Prepared and Appointed to Judge
When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?
Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?
Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
Today you are being prepared for what is to come
You will judge the kosmos (the whole of creation
You will judge the angels (divine beings)
This training ground is what we know as the little God has entrusted us with
Rev 20:4-6 We are told that we will be given authority to judge the whole of creation
known as priests of Jesus Christ and God ruling with Him
The Eternal Judgement Speaks of a final condemnation to the unsaved
Judgement that will identify your salvation
Judgement that will look at the work you have done
You are being prepared....
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
You are a chosen race called to proclaim to witness and testify of Him
Take you talents and multiply
On that day you will hear well done Good and faithful Servant
