Daniel's already turbulent world is further disturbed as he is take hostage to Babylon. There his captors seek to force his assimilation into their system. Rather than capitulate he follows the counsel of Jeremiah in seeking the welfare of the city to which he is exiled and the rest is "history". What does it mean to live "in the world" but against the slow?
