Marriage 2022

Wedding Day-

As we talk about marriage I want us to make sure we hold up grace especially strong.

3 reasons the devil wants to attack your marriage:

1. Marriages are created to look like God.

Genesis 1:26–27 NAS

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Carl Zimmerman Harvard Sociologist in 1947 warned we were going the same way as all great civilization: Rome, Greece and many more. Of all these great civilizations that started great and fell from within. The Devil understands this. He knows he has to destroy marriages

Every society that becomes great on a conservative Christian model because they had strong families

7 signs of a society falling apart

a. Marriage loses it’s sacredness as it is frequently broken by divorce.

b. Traditional meaning is lost-

c. Feminists movement abounds and women lose Their desire to have kids. YOu have to have 2.3 children to sustain your civilization. Before societies depopulate they have feministic child laws.

d. Increase public disrespect for parents.

e. most of society loses a value for marriage. Contempt for marriage has spread to the common person, not just the Harvard intellect. 1930-83 percent of adults were married, today 49.7 adult Americans are married.

f. Increased adultery and sexual perversion, Ted Started a ministry.

Are these true in our society.

But here is the hope that Jesus is Lord of all. We must stand for marriage.

Marriages make you act like God.

Marriage requires sacrifice.

A broken marriage breaks your child‘s heart.
