I. The Bible Supports the Unity of Christians

A. It is Pleasant for Brethren to Dwell in Unity
psalm 133:1 “1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
B. By Being One with Jesus and Our Brethren, We Show the World that Jesus Was Sent
John 17:21 “21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
John 17:23 “23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
C. There is One Body and One Spirit is the Hope of Our Calling
Ephesian 4:4 “4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;”
Ephesian 4:6 “6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
E. The Glory Which Jesus Was Given by God the Father, Jesus Gives Us to Be One
John 17:22 “22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”
F. We are to Endeavor to Keep the Unity of Spirit in the Bond of Peace.
Ephesian 4:3 “3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
G. There is No Race, Slave or Free, or Male or Female, We are All One in Christ Jesus
Galatians 3:28 “28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
II. We Are to Be One Accord
A. On the Day of Pentecost, They Had Been Praying and Were of One Accord When the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was Poured Out
Act 1:14 “14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.”
Acts 2:1 “1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”
B. Because the People Were One Accord in Giving Heed to What Philip Was Teaching, They Seen God Do Miracles
Acts 8:6 “6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.”
C. Titus in His Accord Accepted the Exhortation, and Preach the Gospel Throughout All the Churches
2 Co 8:16-18 “16 But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. 17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. 18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;”
