Genesis 19

Verse 1-3
Lot was hospitable to this strangers, not realising that they were angels
Abraham was a man who taught his household the way of the Lord. This would have an impacted on Lots character to a certain degree,
Lot’s life was resembling the care for the things that are right to a certain degree becuase he had lived with Abraham for quite sometimes.
Verse 4-11
The sexual immorality was so prevasive that both old young, yea all the people sought to have sex with this men.
Lot not realising that he had angels within his house, he was willing to give up his daughters to this wicked men.
Sometimes not realising the power that is within us, with us, we can chose to compromise and give to the enemy what is most precious.
1 John 4:4 “4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Verse 12-29
Lot lingered because he was so attached to his possession and his place, the angels had to pull him out.
He was to escape for his life and not look back
Luke 9:61-62 “61 And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” 62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.””
Lot’s wife looked back, luke 17:32,
God remembered Abraham’s intercessions and prayer and brought lot out of the overthrough.
Verse 30-38
Lot slep with his daughters because he was drunk.
This is the reason why you should not drink wine.

Genesis 20

God’ spoke of Abraham as a prophet. God realtion with Abraham was different than that of Abimelech.
A man whom God speaks to and speaks through, heis a spokesman for God and mediater between Gdo and man (Abimelech).
God heard Abraham’s prayer, because of the anointing and relation he had with Abraham.
