Nothing - Poem

When I look at the glory of the heavens,

At the sun, moon, and stars that be -

If I believe it all came from nothing,

Then nothing is the maker of me.

When I see the measureless ocean,

And walk on the sands of the sea -

If I believe that God is nothing,

Then nothing is a God to me.

When I find in the fields and the forests,

That life is in flower and tree -

If I believe life started from nothing,

Then nothing is in life for me.
