The Calling of Trials

Intro
Not having an answer to some questions are much harder than not having an answer about eschatology.
The most unanswerable question that people will inevitably ask is “why?”
Even though we don’t know “why” we must remain faithful to point to the “who”
What is a self-inflicted problem?

We are called to be burden bearers

Our burdens
Luke 9:23 KJV 1900
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Others burdens
Galatians 6:1–5 KJV 1900
1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
The law of Christ is the law of love; shown in bearing one another’s burdens
God demonstrated His love by actions and so shall we.
Romans 5:8 (KJV 1900)m 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Example given in Job’s friends
They were available
They were vulnerable
They were audible
“Don’t let suffering drive you away. It is easy to become weary sharing in someone’s suffering.”
In addition to this we should be
prayerful
mindful
