Right now you are seeing unchecked use of power without moral or legal authority. Who is responsible for this? The authorities who are supposed to regulate the use of power.
Definition of ecclesia
1: a political assembly of citizens of ancient Greek states especially : the periodic meeting of the Athenian citizens for conducting public business and for considering affairs proposed by the council.
18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).
Apostle and Church are terms of authority.
The words translated “make disciples” came from one Greek verb; “mathēteuō.”
3411 μαθητεύω (mathēteuō): vb.; Str 3100; 1. follow, be a disciple, be a committed student 2. LN 36.37 make followers, make disciples 3. instruct, teach
The action of pursuing the kingdom results in a change in identity.
3101. μαθητής mathētēs, ; from 3129; a learner, i.e. pupil:—disciple.
Belief, Pursuit, Exchange.
FIVE ESSENTIAL PARADIGMS OF THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM
FIVE ESSENTIAL PARADIGMS OF THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM
These five paradigms are taken from the book “Ekklesia”, by Dr. Ed Silvoso
1) The Great Commission is about discipling nations and not just individuals. "[As you go] make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19).
2) The Atonement secured redemption not only for individuals, but also for the marketplace, which is the heart of the nation. "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost"
10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
9 God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan.
10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.
19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
3) Labor is worship, and since all believers are ministers, they are to turn their jobs into places of worship to God and ministry to others. "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men"
23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
4) Jesus is the One who builds His Church, not us. Our assignment is to use the keys of the Kingdom to lock and unlock the Gates of Hades in order for Him to build His Church where those Gates stand.
18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
5) The elimination of systemic poverty in its four dimensions-spiritual, relational, motivational and material-is the premier social indicator of transformation. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor"
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
Poverty, envy, racism, ignorance, addiction, and immorality all have one thing in common. They have been preserved and promoted by corrupt politicians of every political persuasion in order to gain votes and consolidate power.
32 All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.
33 The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all.
34 There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them
20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”
BIBLICAL EVANGELISM
BIBLICAL EVANGELISM
41 Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you and put up with you?” Then he said to the man, “Bring your son here.”
55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them.
The key was the four-step strategy Jesus had entrusted to the seventy in
5 “Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’
6 If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you.
7 Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.
8 “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you.
9 Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
First, bless the lost;
Next, fellowship with them;
Then minister to them;
Then proclaim that “the kingdom of God has come near to you”
