SLIDE 1
“GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH” Picture Image
Last wee the Lord is a shield for those who take refuge in Him
We are fellow partakers in tribulation, kingdom and perseverance
Circumstances of war
God is showing us or pushing us on a path to refuge
Even though a mess around us, the Lord has prepared a refuge place for us
Last week also saw the foundation Scripture for that path of refuge
SLIDE 2
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
Do not let our altitude get too low
meditation in the Lord is like digestion is for nutrition
As week look at God is our Refuge and Strength passage for today

SLIDE 6
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
Selah.
As David would lay in his bed and meditate delighting in the Lord and His Law
The Lord in His Spirit would reveal for these songs in the Psalms
Many or almost all songs to the Lord were walked out and tested first
The Lord has added another element for us today in keeping on the path of refuge
Our view and perspective
SLIDE 7 “VIew and Perspective” Image Slide
While David was still young and a shepherd boy - Israel was wanting a king
The prophet Samuel warned them what a earthly or wordly king would be like
Saul chosen because big tall and handsome
SLIDE 8 “Saul Image Slide”
Are we focused on world view or God’s view?
Is this view being seen by walking in the counsel of the wicked, seat of scoffers and path of sinners like we saw in Psalm 1:1
Saul was not a man known for meditating on the Lord and his law but still chosen by the people , “look at the surroundings”
David small and ruddy
SLIDE 9 “David Image Slide”
Staying on a path of refuge requires God’s view and perspective
Another great example Abraham and Lot
SLIDE 10 “VIew and Perspective” Image Slide
Remember Abraham started out as an idolater
Lots father passed so his uncle Abraham looks after him
Possessions and become great for both, not room enough in the land
Lot picks beautiful valley land near Sodom , left Abraham with rocks and hills
View and perspective
Lot captured , Abraham rescues Lot
Lot back to Sodom
Abraham known for building altars after wrong decisions
3 angels visit Abraham
Lot rescued from Sodom does not build an altar
Moab and Ammon - Lot
Abraham - Isaac Jacob “Israel”
