Tonight, I believe that we have made the most of our time
We received these t-shirts, and we used them to create an event where we could do something fun together
We got something, and then we did something with it
One thing that we all have is time.
I know it doesn’t feel like it and that many of you are incredibly busy, but we all have time here on this earth
What are you going to do with it?
For our quick devotional tonight, I wanted to look at Ephesians 5:15-20 with you
Ephesians 5:15–20 (NLT)
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So here, the key verse is 16: “Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.”
That is what God is calling you towards tonight
Namely, don’t use your time just for yourself, use it for God primarily and to pour into others
Are you using your time for God? If you haven’t accepted Christ as your Savior, then the answer is no! But you can begin to make the most of your time by giving your life to Him tonight.
Another way that you can make the most of your time is to make a commitment to be here every Wednesday so that you can fellowship with each other and be spiritually fed together.
Maybe you need to get more serious about spending time with the Lord… you can sign up for one of these devotionals tonight!
Whatever it is, I challenge you to make the most of your time. We live in troubling days, but God has great plans for us, if only we’ll follow Him!
