Diligent To Declare Judgment

Understanding the good news of the gospel is predicated on understanding the bad news about what happens to those who reject it
Luke 10:12 “But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in THAT DAY for Sodom, than for THAT CITY.”
Matthew 25:31-46
2 Cor. 5:10
Rev. 20:11-15
2 Tim. 4:1
1 Cor. 3:11-15
John 5:22, 27

Comparative Judgment - Hebrews 6:1-2

Luke 10:13 “Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.”
Luke 10:14 “But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.”
Luke 10:15 “And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.”
Chorazin and Bethsaida - many miracles done there. Jesus did most of his miracles in that area.
Sodom better than that town (town that denied Jesus)
Tyre and Sidon - known for their wickedness then.

Man’s Accountability

Luke 10:16 “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.”

Rejoice In Our Relationship More Than Authority Over Enemy

Power, protection, and preservation.
Luke 10:17-20 “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
The Good News Is We Don’t Have To Deal With The Bad News.
He has a gift for us. He has made a way of escape.
He will provide. He will protect.
Our names are written in the Book Of Life
