Robert, you're priceless!
1 Cor. 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own, for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
A few years ago, there was a fascinating article in Bloomberg about how the prices of some paintings are falling rapidly. As I read the article I wondered just how much paintings actually go for.
The most expensive painting according to Wikipedia was sold for over $300 million dollars. It's called "Interchange" by Willem de Kooning. I thought -- "wow that's a lot of money." Then there was another painting called "Number 17A" by Jackson Pollock that was sold for over $200 million dollars!
As I perused Pollock's collection, (I'm no art connoisseur) the paintings looked like a bunch of house painters' drop cloths that were hung on the wall. Honestly, to me they just looked like a mess -- yet people have paid millions of dollars for these works!
That got me to thinking -- what is a human life worth? To some uninformed or cynical eyes, human beings are just a mess of "useless eaters" (a phrase used by Henry Kissinger to describe the elderly) ... but we know that every human life is extremely valuable because God was willing to pay the highest price for it. He gave His Son for your life -- declaring its value in His own precious blood!
So while you may feel, or even look like a house painter's drop cloth, in God's economy -- the only one that matters -- you are priceless, of inestimable value!
Robert, live your life in the Father's estimation of its value. You are a precious piece in His "collection" His valuation of you is filled with loving purpose -- let it sink in -- you are precious, "worth more than many sparrows"; bought and paid for by the King of Kings whose taste is impeccable!
Your family in the Lord with much agape love,

Happy Birthday, Sis!
So it is motivated by God’s Love that to satisfy his perfect Justice to bring many sons into glory there has to be a redeemer and Christ is the key that turns it all of it around.
That He gave his only begotten son
Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon (3439 μονογενής)
3439 μονογενής [monogenes /mon·og·en·ace/] adj. From 3441 and 1096; TDNT 4:737; TDNTA 606; GK 3666; Nine occurrences; AV translates as “only begotten” six times, “only” twice, and “only child” once. 1 single of its kind, only. 1A used of only sons or daughters (viewed in relation to their parents). 1B used of Christ, denotes the only begotten son of God.
Uniquely Born. One of a kind.
Born of a virgin
He is God among us who the angels held a pass and review for at the birth of His Majesty.
He is both the Son of Man with a human lineage also the son of David a kingly lineage, and also he is the one testified by God himself who spoke out from heaven and said, “this is my son, whom I am well pleased.”
Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon 5207 υἱός
υἱός [huios /hwee·os/] n
He is begotten of the father
This is the Hypo-static union. which is
the two natures of Christ. divine and Human. Christ is fully God and He is fully man joined in one body, inseparably united without loss or mixture of either identity. the Union is forever.
As man Jesus would be created lower than the angels.
Hebrews 2:9 (NASB95) — 9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
Philippians 2:5–8 (NASB95) — 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
But also he is fully God.
when Jesus hushed the storm while on the boat with His disciples it was from His deity that the sovereignty and power came from.
when Jesus turned the water into wine again it was from His Godly being.
this will be necessary
the Last Adam, Jesus, had to be perfect without sin.
this was impossible for the sin of Adam would pass to all mankind. but due to the virgin birth, no sin from the father was passed on to the son. This qualifies Jesus to be the Lamb without spot and without blemish
2. Righteous immutable God could not pay the price for our sin.
A Man sinned, A Man would have to pay the price. Jesus became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness in Him.
Reconciliation is the process that brings two parties in dispute together.
The two Parties are
Righteous God
Sinful man
as we have already stated that God cannot arbitrarily forgive man. where there is perfect Justice there must be a penalty for breaking God’s Law and that penalty is death.
God’ Justice demands Satisfaction.
God is dealing with sinful man from a distance even through a mediator, in the Tanakh (OT) God deals with man through the angel of the Lord.
Sinful man stands separated from God as it was Adam who sought to put distance between the Lord who came into the garden and himself.
In Reconciliation there is a mediator.
a mediator is one who represents both parties.
Jesus as God represents God to man.
Jesus as man is a priest who represents man to God.
It was on the cross that the mediation between these two hostile parties meet as Jesus hung between heaven and earth.
After the sins of the world was judged and paid for Jesus said, “tetilesti” it is finished. the work of the mediator in bringing the two parties together was accomplished. The Justice of God is satisfied.
Romans 3:23–26 (NASB95) — 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; 25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; 26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Propitiation means Satisfaction God is satisfied with the work of Christ on the cross.
As a earthly sign of this the veil in the temple was ripped from Top to bottom. Matthew 27:51
And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
Nicodemus came to Jesus with a presupposition that he had a free ticket into the Kingdom on the basis of his heritage and his works for God but Jesus as he schooling Nicodemus is refuting Man’s plan in religion and presenting God’s plan which is the only way.
