Luke 24:25–26 KJV (WS)
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Don't Be A Fool
Jester - a fool or a joker, member of the household of a nobleman employed to entertain guests.
Those to whom Christ spoke these words were His own disciples, and yet they did not unswervingly accept all that the God had written.
We want to make a twofold application;
1. First of all, a word to those who reject all the Bible.
2. A word to those who accept some but do not believe all of the Word of God.
1. Those who deny the Bible as a whole.
These we commonly call infidels.
Infidel - a person who does not believe in religion or who adheres to a religion other than one's own:
(unbeliever · disbeliever · nonbeliever · heathen · pagan · idolater · idolatress · heretic · agnostic · apostate · freethinker).
The atheist is the one who says there is no God, and all atheists reject the Bible as the inspired Word of God.
The infidel may, or may not believe in God, but he does not believe in a God Who has revealed Himself through a written Word.
Have you ever sat down and considered what it would mean if we had no Bible?
I. It would mean that we would have no definite knowledge as to God Himself.
Judges 21:25 KJV (WS)
In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
This ends the book of Judges and explains why such unlawful acts took place in Israel.
There was no king or legal authority in the whole land, and every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
The facts show what the natural man thinks is right when not following God’s Word.
a. Many saint or believers live the way they do because they have not Word or divine guide in their life.
Where there is no knowledge of the Bible, there is a belief in some kind of a God, but how unprepared and natural is that belief!
1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV (WS)
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Heathen beliefs hold ideas of God that are disagreeable and awful to consider.
God to them is no more than a oppressor, without mercy;
A God to be appeased by some brutal sacrifice; or a God Who is Himself licentious (imoral) and lustful.
Jim Jones (James Warren Jones) Mass muder suicide of 918 individuals who was injected against their will.
Warren Jeffs (community 2000 in Utah, a polygamist cult.
The Bible is the one Book that reveals God to mankind, as a holy and a just God, and yet a God of tender compassion.
II. It would mean that we would have no knowledge of salvation.
For the Bible alone gives us the story of how God can be just and withal the justifier of those who believe.
Hosea 4:6 KJV (WS)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
III. It would mean that we would have no definite knowledge of things beyond this life, for only God’s Word reveals the things to come.
Luke 24:25 KJV (WS)
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Yet, that is just what we have all around us to-day.
There are many who believe that part of the prophetic Word which has thus far met its fulfillment, but they refuse to believe, or else their minds are clouded and they fail to see the import of things to come.
The rapture.
Hell
The rise of Anti-christ.
The second advent
Had the saints en route to Emmaus accepted and believed what the Prophets had spoken concerning the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, they would not have been so blinded with sorrow, as they walked their weary way that eventide.
If the saints of to-day would simply believe what God has said through Christ and the preaching of the gospel about Christ’s Second Coming, they would not be in such despair about present conditions.

Wars
If the infidels are to be blamed because they reject the Bible as a whole: what are we to think of those who reject the Bible, in part?
What about men who take plain statements of Christ’s coming again, and of His reign on David’s throne, holiness, sanctification, immorality and spiritualize them; and thus change the full intent of their meaning and purpose, to cater tho their lifestyle?
God pity them!
How foolish they are and how slow of heart to believe all!
John 1:1 KJV (WS)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
It time to get back to the word, and believe all of it!
2 Timothy 3:16–17 KJV (WS)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Joan Crawford
“Don’t you dare ask God to help me!”
P.T. Barnum
“How were the receipts today at Madison Square Garden?”
Karl Marx
“Go on, get out! Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough.”
Caesar Borgia: "While I lived, I provided for everything but death; now I must die, and am unprepared to die." Thomas Hobbs political philosopher "I say again, if I had the whole world at my disposal, I would give it to live one day. I am about to take a leap into the dark." Thomas Payne the leading atheistic writer in American colonies: "Stay with me, for God's sake; I cannot bear to be left alone , O Lord, help me! O God, what have I done to suffer so much? What will become of me hereafter? "I would give worlds if I had them, that The Age of Reason had never been published. 0 Lord, help me! Christ, help me! …No, don't leave; stay with me! Send even a child to stay with me; for I am on the edge of Hell here alone. If ever the Devil had an agent, I have been that one." Sir Thomas Scott, Chancellor of England "Until this moment I thought there was neither a God nor a hell. Now I know and feel that there are both, and I am doomed to perdition by the just judgment of the Almighty." Voltaire famous anti-christian atheist: "I am abandoned by God and man; I will give you half of what I am worth if you will give me six months' life." (He said this to Dr. Fochin, who told him it could not be done.) "Then I shall die and go to hell!" (His nurse said: "For all the money in Europe I wouldn’t want to see another unbeliever die! All night long he cried for forgiveness." Robert Ingersoll: "O God, if there be a God, save my soul, if I have a soul!" (Some say it was this way: "Oh God, if there be a God, save my soul if I have a soul, from hell, if there be a hell!" David Hume, atheist philosopher famous for his philosophy of empiricism and skepticism of religion, he cried loud on his death bed "I am in flames!" It is said his "desperation was a horrible scene".
