WE EXIST TO HELP PEOPLE KNOW JESUS AND FIND PURPOSE
Ephesians 6:10–17 (NLT)
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet…
The Bible shows us God but also reveals His plan for us. That’s Salvation. Throughout the OT and NT salvation is the theme. God desires that all would come to know him and receive salvation
SALVATION IS GOD’S PLAN TO FORGIVE PEOPLE OF THEIR SINS, GIVE THEM A HOME IN HEAVEN FOREVER, AND PURPOSE HERE ON EARTH
SALVATION IS ONCE AND FOREVER — CANNOT LOSE IT — NO NEED TO RENEW IT — LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP PAID BY JESUS
Religion = Mans attempt to get to God CHRISTIANITY = God’s plan to get to man
SINNERS PRAYER IN BIBLE?
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
GOD HAD A PLAN FOR SALVATION
WE MESSED UP — JESUS PAID FOR IT ALL — START THE PARTY
CHURCH, EVERY SUNDAY IS THE PARTY!!!!
15 And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”
Because of Adam & Ever you are born into the world a sinner — Babies die? Where do they go? DAVID AND HIS BABY “Someday I will go to him, he cannot come back to me.
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
THE CHURCH GET’S TO CARRY OUT THIS PLAN
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

GOD SAVED YOU FROM
1 Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
God saved you from....
Regret — Sin — Hopelessness — Past — Separation from God — just like your dad — from mistakes you never knew you would have made if it wasn’t for God
This is the message we get to carry to the world — to our neighbors — to our family — That Jesus made a way!
GOD SAVED YOU FOR
When you buy a car it doesn’t just sit in the driveway — Jesus bought you… you’re meant to do something! — HE HAS PLANS FOR YOU
GOD HAS A LIFE SET ASIDE FOR YOU THAT IS UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE — NOT HOW YOU WOULD PLAN BUT FULL OF HIM!
THE ENEMY HAS CONVINCED MORE CHRISTIANS THAT CHRISTIANITY IS A WAITING ROOM RATHER THAN A BATTLEFRONT
