Spirit and Truth
Story:
When you go out to eat at a nice steakhouse you always at least , me I go for the big steak (especially when you friends challenge you).
Then it comes with a wonderful salad, baked potato and if you are lucky another side of string green beens or even better carrots smothered in butter and sugar.
As your eating this steak it just gets better and better until it gets to a point you know you need to stop eating but you just can’t.
The steak is just too good!
You finally finish off the steak and the sides.
You set there bit in a bit of a zone of just bliss but some what pain.
It is at this point the waitress comes back around with the dessert cart.
Your first reaction is the lean back to try to make some room for the desert but you realize this did nothing but make you more in mobil.
And all you can get out to the waitress is a shaking of the head no or hand motion because nothing is coming out of your mouth.
Who here has been here?
Well this is how our spirit lives are supposed to be.
We are called to be so full of the Holy Spirit, our redeemed spirit men is in control, we are walking in His anointing.
So when the devil shows up with our favorite dessert/sin all we can do is just keep on walking.
WE are not even tempted.
Some of us here are struggling with sin right now or you are looking for a closure walk with God.
By feeding our spirit and not the flesh is the solution.
And yes there is victory over sin.
But it requires us allowing our spirit, our true identity to take over.
Living daily in the spirit.
Main Scripture:
1) We must separate the soul and Spirit and let the Spirit take control.
Different parts of a man.
The Bible clearly talks about this in
We are split in the three parts, triunity.
Body - flesh made from the dust of the earth
Soul (life) - Matt 22:37 (Deut 6:4-5) - entire inner person
Heart = inward self where feelings , emotions and thinking.
personality, desires
Mind = inward part where thinking occurs
Spirit - breath, wind, immaterial but what lives for ever.
Redeemed by God.
God is spirit
Lets read 1 Cor 3:1
See we are still infants if lead by self, the flesh.
He could not address them as spiritual people since they were still infants being lead by their self.
We must subdue our soul/self to the spirit.
Submission:
By separating the soul from the spirit as we see in our main scripture we are bringing the soul in submission with our spirit.
This is bringing our thoughts, feelings and heart in unison with our Spirit man which has been redeemed by the blood of Christ.
Now we can draw near to God in fellowship and intimate fellowship through the word, prayer and worship.
Allowing the anointing to flow in our lives.
God has told us in scripture:
Meditate on the word day and night - Psalm 1:2-4; Josh 1:8
Pray Continuously - Phil 4:6-7
Pray in the spirit connecting with our Spirit
Worship me in Spirit and Truth (true worshippers)- John 4:23-24
In John we see that it says “we MUST” worship him in Spirit and Truth.
God’s plan for you and me is that we are so full of His presence which is spirit there is no room for anything else.
We have died to our flesh.
The bondages and chains have been broken.
Isaiah 10:27
What happens when we have separated the soul from the spirit:
There is no room for Sin since we are being lead by the spirit.
No appetite
There is no room for your selvage thoughts but only of God thoughts
There is no room for idol hands
The Room is Full!
You know what this means!
You have broken the hold of the devil
Your family will be blessed
The things of the devil are kicked out and given no way in
God is in control of your live
This means the light in your room is bursting out which draws others into a relationship with Christ
Conclusion:
If you want to defeat that sin in your life and live a spirit empowered life start meditating on the word, praying and fully worshiping God in Spirit and Truth.
There will be no room for anything else in your life and you will be able to feast on steak instead of stuff that is killing you.
See we are tripartite.
We must bring the soul in alignment with the Spirit.
If not we are still doing selvage things.

How can we worship God in Spirit and truth if we are still being lead by our self, doing things fnot pleasing to God.
Once we are spirit lead God tells us we can now truly worship Him.
We are driven, we desire to worship.

Your family will be blessed

This means the light in your room is bursting out which draws others into a relationship with Christ
Conclusion:
If you want to defeat that sin in your life and live a spirit empowered life start meditating on the word, praying and fully worshiping God is Spirit and Truth.
There will be no room for anything else in your life and you will be able to feast on steak instead of stuff that is killing you.
