Jesus sums up the body of his sermon on the mount by saying, "Do to others as you would have them do to you." In light of all that has gone before, Jesus followers can only hope to make progress towards this high standard through prayer. And so Jesus reminds us of what sort of heavenly Father we have: a good one who delights to give good gifts to his children.
