Good morning.
transfusions, for For 2224.
But you have not so we'll learn Christ.
If indeed, you have heard him and have been taught by him.
As a true thing is in Jesus.
Let you put off concerning your former condo, the old man, which girls corrupt, according to the deceitful less and be renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you put on the new man, which was created cording to God and true righteousness.
And Holiness, you, maybe you're blessed with the hearing and reading of God's word.
You may be seated.
All right.
We are.
Looking at, we're doing a miniseries and we're on our last one here.
Before we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.
And we continue on from there.
Let's begin with prayer.
Father, it is a privilege.
To come into the presence of Jesus and the father and the spirit.
Taking our requests and laying at your feet.
Your father this morning our request is that as you have promised you would take your word?
Apply it to our hearts and our lives and transform us.
Change us into the image of Christ.
And father, I pray that I would be simply you are to land instrument to communicate the truth of your word to your people and that each and every one of us would walk out the doors.
This morning, a little bit more conform to Christ.
Then when we came in we thank you Father We Praise You In Jesus, precious name?
Your leg does not come off.
That was the sad news that my parents had to deliver to my brother as he tugged at his lower leg.
Trying to remove it.
You see, we had visited our great, aunt and uncle.
And after walking us around the property.
We went inside and Auntie Zoe took off her leg.
She had an early prosthetic and the problem was that it didn't fit quite right, until after she had walked or stood for any amount of time.
She would remove it.
And so we got inside, we sat down.
She takes off her leg of my brother.
Looks at her leg and looks at his and he goes and tried to pull off his leg only to be told.
It didn't quite work that way.
See her leg that she had was not working correctly and the result was discomfort pain and irritation scripture, compares the universe to a body.
We are a body.
And when part of the body is not functioning correctly, there is discomfort and pain and irritation for the whole body better, how healthy are other parts?
Are they suffer?
When any part is not functioning well, and so for the body of Christ to be healthy all of its parts need to function.
Well over the last few weeks, we have talked about church leadership.
We need to have held the elders and healthy Deacon.
Having healthy leaders is essential to the health of the church.
However, without anyone to lead healthy leaders have no purpose.
So what we have said over and over, is that Christ desires his church to be healthy, healthy Church requires healthy leaders who raised up healthy members, helping members are not only formed by healthy.
Readers.
A healthy member is someone who knows how to feed themselves and Ro and soap for the body of Christ to truly be healthy.
All of its parts must be healthy.
Again, when the last message of our mini series titled, a church that functions biblically.
And if we're going to be a church that functions biblically, we have to think the biblically specifically about three areas.
First.
We need to think that nobody about Elders, who what are Elders, how are they supposed to function?
And then we talked about thinking the deathly about deacons, who are Regions, what are they supposed to do?
How are they supposed to function?
Today?
We are going to look at thinking, biblically about members thinking, biblically about members, our principal, is this healthy members are necessary for the local church.
Helping members are necessary for the local church.
If you don't have healthy members, you don't have a local church.
You don't have a healthy local church.
And so, the guidance is this, there are three requirement that must be met to have a healthy church member.
This is not automatic.
It does not just happen.
I wish that I could tell you, if you come to Christ and you become a member of a church, then boom your Healthy, it doesn't work that way.
So it's not automatic.
You have to meet these requirements.
But when we do, there's an outcome where there are healthy members, there will be a healthy Church.
So this is the goal.
We want to have healthy leaders healthy members and a healthy Church, three requirements that must mean that to have a healthy church-member.
Requirement.
Number one, a healthy church member is spiritually alive and healthy church member is spiritually alive.

They've talked about mummies that they've discovered that were so well-preserved.
They thought that they were a modern missing person or something like that.
And so this is really interesting.
Some of those discoveries it all to reading that I've done.
What I have never found is been mistaking.
A mummy for a living person, right?
They always can tell that they're why won't because death and life are dramatically different things.
This reality holds true.
When we talk about spiritual death and life as well.
Spiritual life is dramatically different than spiritual death, as well as we consider being spiritually alive.
There's two vital truth that we need to grasp truth.
Number one, life comes through faith in Christ, life comes through faith in Christ.
This is where our journey as followers of Jesus, as church members starts.
It begins with salvation in Ephesians 4 verse 22.
It says this division 4 verse 22. Says that you put off concerning your former conduct the old man, which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lust.
How do we do this?
How do we put off the old man food?
That is corrupt.
According to deceitful, last.
One of the bottom line issues is that we cannot put off the old man, until we have a new man.
That makes sense.
How do we get a new nature?
That's what you want to talk about, for a minute.
When you ask most people how do you get to heaven?
