Kings aren't supposed to be crucified. But ours was. When you think of a king in any historical context you don’t immediately think poor, naked, bloodied and broken, You think opulence, power, wisdom, responsibility. When I think of king I think of $400b, Mansa Musa I of Mali, the first king of Timbuktu. I think of King T’challa, or Jon Snow rightful heir of Westeros, or King Aragon. But you certainly don’t think of Crucified King
Kings are not supposed to be found powerless, humiliated, beaten, defeated, broken, shamed. But ours was. Kings are not supposed to die at the hands of their subjects, betrayed by the actions of their friends, insulted by the mouths of their court, and made a public spectacle like their own jester. But ours was. . But ours was.
