Why would God become a man? Why would God be called a lamb? Why would God ride a donkey? Why would God weep over a city? The biblical story of redemption is rich in symbols, words, and actions revealing a God so mighty, so compassionate, so holy, so loving, and so merciful that dismissing him is mankind’s most tragic sin. This sin is dramatically portrayed in the events of the passion week in which Jesus (God in flesh) was acclaimed as king only to be declaimed and crucified days later.
