This weeping is different Luke 19-41-44

If you have not heard that Jesus wept before, then you will today.
Jesus Wept
Matter of fact there are 2 passages in Scripture teach that Jesus wept. In both instances our Lord was looking on man’s misery and both demonstrate our Lord’s loving human nature. Jesus showed compassion, and I have learned that compassion directs the anointing of God to accomplish somethings in our life and the life of others. In the passage of John 11th chapter it refers to the death of Lazarus and how Mary and Martha were weeping over the death of Lazarus. Jesus did not weep over the death of Lazarus. He knew Lasusr would be raised and eventually spend eternity with Him in heaven. But he just couldn t help from crying himself. You ever been around someone who is crying and you cry too. Thats your compassion stirring up in you and that’s enough for you to go to that person and provide the promises of God and that God is ABLE TO DO ANYTHING. Here Jesus is tuned in and he is moved with compassion, so much that he acted and demonstrated God’s will at the perfect timing. Now pay attention here, because you will see why Jesus once he heard of Lazurus being on the sick bed that he did not act to do anything at that time. If Jesus had been present when Lasura was dying, His compassion would have caused Him to heal His friend. There was a intended purpose not to be there to prevent a death so by the time he got to Lazarus, he was already 4 days in the death’s grave before Jesus publicly called him back to life.
The Father wanted these witnesses to know that Jesus was the Son of God, that Jesus was sent by God, and that Jesus and the Father had the same will in everything. (John 11:4, 45). When he heard this, Jesus said, This sickness will not end in death. No it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it. YA, Jesus and God are one and God blessed us with His Previous Holy Spirit when he took Jesus up to sit beside him. JESUS HAD TO WAIT ON GOD HIMSELF. RIGHT NOW IN THIS SEASON WE ARE CELEBRATING THE RESURRECTION. JESUS HAD TO WAIT, AND WE KNOW WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND TRUST GOD AND HIS TIMING. YOU CAN’T HURRY GOD. THE TEMPTATION IS THERE TO NOT WAIT ON THE LORD, BUT IF YOU JUST HOLD ONTO GOD’S PROMISES IN TIME, YOU WILL SEE THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD DOING WHAT HE PROMISED TO DO. TIMING IS IMPORTANT.
NOW BACK TO THIS MESSAGE -
LET ME HEAR YOU SAY, THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT. AGAIN WE ARE GOING TO FOCUS OF THE ACCOUNT OF This One today - FOUND IN THIS PASSAGE LUKE 19;41-44
LET’S READ IT AGAIN
Luke 19:41–44 KJV 1900
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
This took place during the Lord’s last trip to Jersulem shorty before he was crucified at Jersulem, Jersulem the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together just as a hen fathers herbrood under her wings, and you would not have it.
So Now as our Lord approached Jersulem and thought of all those lost souls, ;HE SAW THE CITY AND WEPT OVER IT) He saw the multitude of people in the city (church) that were lost. JESUS CRIED ALOUD IN ANGUISH OVER THE FUTURE OF THE CITY. THAT FUTURE WAS LESS THAN 40 YEARS DISTANT; IN 70 AD MORE THAN A MILLION RESIDENTS OF JERSULEM DIDED IN ONE OF THE MOST GRUESOME SIEGES IN RECORDED HISTORY. OUR LORD WEPT differently in these two instances because the eternal outcomes were entirely different. Martha, Mary and Lazarus have eternal life because the eternal outcomes were entirely different, Martha and Lazarus have eternal life because the eternal outcomes (I’m on my way to heaven). THEY BELIEVED IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, BUT MOST IN JERSULEM DID NOT BELIEVE AND THEREFORE DO NOT HAVE LIFE.
THE SAME IS TRUE TODAY, JESUS SAID TO HER, “I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE, HE WHO BELIEVES IN WILL LIVE EVEN IF HE DIES (JOHN 11:25)
Many years ago, I had a radio broadcast called, WITNESS FOR CHRIST. Many said they were blessed by the service to the Lord. God impressed me to tell my story and let others tell their story about being a witness. A witness is someone who sees what happens.
What did Jesus Mean When He Said “I am the Door (John 10:7) The “I Am’s point to His uniueness, divine identity and purpose. In this
“I AM”, statement Jesus points out for us the exclusive nature of salvation by saying that He is the “door,” not “a door.:
Jesus is the Shepherd who leads us into the “sheepfold” but He is the only door by which we may enter and be saved (John 10:9) Jesus is the only means we have of receiving eternal life. There is no other way.
Jesus makes it clear that any “robber,” One who believes the gospel (Hebrews 11:6) and repents of their sins (Luke 13:3) is assured of being in “the fold” and of having entered by “the door:.
As followers of Christ, Jesus is both our Shepherd and the Door to the sheepfold who provides for all our needs, we are always under His protection. MORE IMPORTANTLY WE ARE FULLY CONFIDENT THAT “when the Chied Shepherd appears (we) will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
This weeping was quite different from the weeping Jesus did with the raising of Lazarus.
We know that Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The only path to salvation is expressed in the words :(I am the way, the truth) Jesus is the only truth.
This WEEPING IS DIFFERENT
For those of us who are saved, and you know you are. You got to know for yourself. Some one asked me the other day, what do I think about sin. I think and believe that sin is sin, and if you confess you are sinning, God hears you and forgives you. God can save anyone who wants to be saved. God can deliver anyone who wants to be delivered. Give yourself to God just like you are, know that he accepted you. He will take care of the baggage you bring to him. He is a deliver too, you know he can do anything.
What kind of church are we, we are many things for Christ, but we also want to be known as a weeping church. We weep for the lost. like Jesus did. Jesus did all he could do, but many people today are still rejecting the truth. We are like Jesus we want to see everyone saved.
What can we do as a church?
WITNESS FOR CHRIST every chance you get. Tell them how he set you free. I was lost, but now I am found, tell everybody. Remember, say it. Yea, you might get rejected and called all kinds of names, but that comes with being a “Witness for Christ”
Jesus said, must I bear this cross along.
Leave here today knowing that just as Jesus wept, you also weep. What did Jesus do after he left Jersulam after seeing the outcome of the lost. HE KEPT ON TEACHING AND PREACHING NEVER GIVE UP
CHAPTER 20 He continues to teach in the temple
CHAPTER 21 He continues to teach on persecutions will come
CHAPTER 22 He betrayed by Judas, Peter denies Jesus
CHAPTER 23 He is crucified on the Cross
CHAPTER 24 Jesus is resurrected
What do you notice, Jesus kept himself moving and saving, healing, deliverance.
we should follow the same example because we have a perfect example before us.
This resurrection celebration is a good reminder that we live in a fallen word and we must lift of the blood stained banner, and tell how we have overcome. If it wasnt for Jesus on my side, what would I do: I would not be able to do anything.
I chose to serve him, I chose to know him. I am not turning back. Yeah I got a tempter at my heels at all times, but I tell the tempter to get behind me, Satan. I’m pressing on.
