Matthew 16: 18-20 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it! 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will be released in heaven.” 20 Then he commanded the disciples that they should tell no one that he was the Christ
In the days we are living in, we need a sure foundation. Nearing the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus leaves a Word of instruction, guidance, hope and knowledge.
The sorrow that is about to take place in the life of the disciples Jesus knew they would need something they could stand on, a sure foundation. the Rock. if you will who would become the Rock of Ages.
Everyone needs a defining moment, a moment in which we can say God has truly stepped in and changed circumstances. A moment when you look back on your life you can say that was a GOD MOMENT.
Paul States 1Cor.3:18-20 10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must direct his attention to how he is building upon it. 11 For no one is able to lay another foundation than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, 13 the work of each one will become evident. For the day will reveal it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the work of each one, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work that he has built upon it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but so as through fire.
We all need a stone a stone of testimony, so that when the enemy comes in, we have something to look back on or when someone asks us the reason of our joy; we are then able to point back to that moment in time where we can say “THAT IS MY STONE!”
In Joshua

5 And Joshua said to them, “Cross over before the ark of Yahweh your God to the middle of the Jordan, and each one of you lift up a stone on your shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the ⌊Israelites⌋, 6 so that this may be a reminder among you. When your children ask in the future, saying, ‘⌊What do these stones mean to you⌋?’ 7 you will say to them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off ⌊from before⌋ the ark of the covenant of Yahweh. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones will be as a memorial for the ⌊Israelites⌋ for eternity.”

Everybody needs a testimony, a life altering moment where God stepped in from out of nowhere and did something in your life that only He can do. A moment when your life was changed and impacted so strong by God, that you can go back to that period in your life and say to the devil NO Satan this is where my life was changed.
For the children of Israel, it was the memorial on the opposite side of Jordan, God said grab a stone and carry it over and build a memorial, so that in future days when your children see it and ask what does this mean, you can say it is the moment our lives were changed, it was the moment i moved from poverty to promise.
and you can take your child up to that memorial and point at the Rock and say That is my stone.
In Matthew Peter was not the Rock, Jesus is the Rock and when Christ is your Rock, then you have access to unlimited power that will bring down the strongholds in your life, it will crush the yoke of bondage; then when you are aske the reason of the hope that is in you, you can carry them to the place of your deliverance and say THAT IS MY STONE!

3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large.
