some people want wisdom that exalts itself about the knowledge of God.

2. The hope of His calling - WE love to tell people our calling.

I’m called to be a senior Chief and mcdonalds.

Sometimes we confuse pur occupation with the calling of God.

They’re clear callings in the scriptures.

We are called to know God

We are called to evangelize and make disciples. ( Making diciples is a skill as well as a calling.)

We are called to pray

we are called to love the brethern

Paul is praying for understanding for the church of Ephesus.

Eph 1:19-20 “and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,”

Resurrection

The resurrection is mention in the OT. as well as the Nt

Its speaks about us being resurrected as well as Christ being resurrected .

Flesh - is Hebrews vbaser - its taking about his body his physical body . His body will see God .

What is resurrection

It is a standing up again

Being brought back to life

Christ said that He is the resurrection

The resurrection is essential for our faith if Christ wasn’t resurrected then our faith was is in vain . 1 Cor 15:17

Psalm 16:10 (KJV) Ps 16:10 (KJV) For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

The Lord Jesus is declaring His Fathers faithfulness when He said Thou will not leave my soul in hell.

The Fathers faithfulness was proven the resurrection morning

The Holy One is talking about Christ . He will not allow His soul to be in the grave to decay .

Romans 6:4

When it says that we are baptized with Him. Thats means that we identify with his death ,
