Bible - Prayer - Mission

Did you know that originally the Bible consisted of 80 books? Well, today there are only 66 books in the Bible.
The longest book in the Bible is the ‘Psalms’ with 150 chapters and 2,527 verses.
The shortest book in the Bible is ‘The Epistle of Jude’ with only one chapter and 25 verses.
The Bible has 1,189 chapters and was written by around 40 authors but it has no contradiction in it, though some people find the contradiction by taking the verses out of the context.

The Bible is the word of God

Lamp

Psalm 119:105 NIV
105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
As a lamp God’s Word enlightens us in this world, but as a light it shows us the way to a spiritual future
The light of God’s Word guides our way and keeps us from falling into the snares of Satan

Eternal

One of the claims which the Bible makes for Itself is that It can never be destroyed.
The abundance of copies of the Scriptures now available is abundant proof that It has made good Its claim.
In many passages the indestructibility of the Scriptures is pronounced.
Isaiah 40:8 (NIV)
8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
Matthew 24:35 (NIV)
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
1 Peter 1:25 (NIV)
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.
In A.D. 301-304, the Roman Emperor Diocletian burned thousands of copies of the Bible, commanded that all Bibles be destroyed and decreed that any home with a Bible in it should be burned.
In fact, he even built a monument over what he thought was the last surviving Bible. He then proudly proclaimed, “The Christian name has been extinguished!”
The very next emperor, Constantine, made Christianity the state religion of Rome. Five hundred years after Diocletian’s death, his grave (a huge mausoleum) became a Christian church.
The Roman general and nephew of Constantine named Julian proclaimed that his book entitled “Refutation of the Christian Religion” would destroy the Bible forever. Have you ever heard of this book?
Voltaire, the great French Philosopher (1694-1778) once declared, “In 100 years, the Bible would be a forgotten and unknown book.” A hundred years later, the Geneva Bible Society occupied his home. In 1778, Voltaire proudly boasted, “It took 12 men to start Christianity; one (referring to himself) will destroy it.” Later, that very year, he died.
The American political leader Robert G. Ingersoll (1833-1899) once proclaimed, “In 15 years, I will have this book (the Bible) in the morgue.” Fifteen years later, Robert Ingersoll was in the morgue.
Lew Wallace (1827-1905) who served as a writer, a Civil War general, a governor of the territory of New Mexico and U.S. ambassador to Turkey, was a known atheist. For two years, he studied at the leading libraries in Europe seeking information for his book that he believed would disprove the Bible and “forever destroy Christianity.” While writing the second chapter of this book, he found himself on his knees praying to Jesus. Because of the indisputable evidence, he could no longer deny that the Bible was the word of God. Later, he wrote “Ben Hur,” one of the greatest English novels ever written concerning the time of Christ.

What are the best-selling books of all time?

At the top of the list, unsurprisingly, is the Bible. The Guinness Book of World Records estimates that more than 5 billion copies of the Bible have been printed.
Other religious texts are also high on the list: the Quran with 800 million copies, the Book of Mormon with 120 million. China's "Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong" has several hundred million copies in print, as well.

where should We keep the Bible?

In the Heart

We read a lot about the heart in the Bible, because in Biblical times it was thought that our decisions, feelings and thought processes came from the heart.
The heart in the Bible was thought to be a sort of “control center” from which all of our decisions were made.
So when we read about the heart in the Bible, it is about the place where you have your will, your attitude and intentions, and which is the source of your thoughts, actions and words.
This heart is the core of who you are as a person. Your heart is, essentially, you.
With your heart you choose between good and evil.
Your conscience sends out a message of whether something is right or wrong, and your heart is what drives you to choose.
The heart that is in connection with God is able to choose the good every time.
Psalm 119:11 (NIV)
11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
we need to keep it save in the heart but we have to obey to practice it.
Luke 11:28 (NIV)
28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
Revelation 1:3 (NIV)
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
A lot of false teaching how will you know what is right or not , just look at the Bible the word of god.

In the mouth

Revelation 10:10 (NIV)
10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.
Matthew 12:34 NIV
You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Memorize it,
pray it
it is our way to attack

It is Food for my Soul

Jeremiah 15:16 (NIV)
16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.
Matthew 4:4 (NIV)
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
