Invitation
Hello and welcome Campus Church, my name is José and I’ve got the privilege of leading us through today, so good to see you face to face! What a joy, what a delight and I am so excited to be here, I hope you are too!
Isn’t God amazing! Isn’t his Word powerful and a delight to hear together as His Church?
Psalm 98:2–6 Says:
2 The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
the salvation of our God.
4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the Lord, the King.
Church, let’s lift our voices in praise to our incredible Holy God!
Please Stand
Only A Holy God
We Declare - Prayer HERE
Heavenly Father as we stand as your church we are so thankful, for the incredible news that in Jesus we are adopted into your kingdom. What incredible joy Father, what an incredible pleasure to stand together as brothers and sisters in praise of our King Jesus. Lord, help us to fix our eyes on him, all the days of our lives, as we eagerly await his glorious return. It’s in Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
Introduction:
As you sit, let me say again:
Hello and welcome to Campus church! Welcome to any of you in the livestream or in different parts around the building. A special welcome if you are new with us here today, it’s so good that you could join us! As I said before my name is José and I know I might seem excited and that’s because I am so delighted to be with you all here and I’ll be leading us through today!
It’s been a while since we’ve able to gather like this, what a blessing from God today is, and hey I am sure there has been quite a few people coming to us through different hubs, houses and today might be your first time like this! Welcome to you all and please come and say hi to me afterward, I’d love to get to know you!
We love singing praises to God, praying to Him and hearing from his Word, the Bible!
And we might have been in a hybrid mode lately but we’ve been going through the Gospel Of Mark. It’s been really eye opening going through a familiar text and realising actually I wasn’t very familiar with it!
It’s been awesome seeing Jesus, the perfect leader, the Good Shepherd in Mark, yet last week it blew a hole through our hope of salvation by work or tradition. We saw that our hearts are rotten and we can’t fix it.
Today we will picking up where we left off last week in Mark Chapter 7. Looking at the subject of Family, God’s Family. Do I, do you deserve to be called Children of God? Yes of course I do says José, I am handsome, talented, and a good man and why would God not want me? Have you ever said that to yourself before? I have!
But who actually is in God’s family? More on this later on today!
Notices:
1. We are in person now and contact cards are just as useful! Great place to write down any comments, prayer requests and more! Please take a moment today to read over it and make the most of it! I’ll come and collect them at the end of today.
2. Who is Jesus?
Is he the son of God? Or just a wise teacher?
Imagine living 2000 years ago when this guy called Jesus shows up and starts teaching, healing, and showing kindness to all sorts of "unworthy" people. His presence stirs up crowds in the thousands. You’re wondering who he is, then he claims to be the son of God and is violently put to death on a cross.
Now, 2000 years later, Christians claim Jesus rose from the dead. They say he is King, the son of God, and that he has the power to save and transform lives even to this day.
Come join us this Easter Sunday as we explore together who Jesus is, and hear from people who have given their lives to Jesus as we celebrate baptisms.
What a great thing to be doing together in person!
3. We were going to be having the Riches here with us in person today but unfortunately they are unable to be here. We hope we are able to catch up with them soon.
Lord's Supper (8 mins)
Now this is normally the time where we get to express our love of God and others by welcoming one another to church, find someone new and say hi!
But before we do that, we are going to be doing the long awaited Lord’s Supper, if you love Jesus and he is your saviour and King please use this time to go to the tables behind you and get yourself ready for that and then feel free to say hi to one another.
I’ll see you in a bit.

This Life I Live
Final Prayer/Blessing
Reflection
I forget how blessed we truly are in Christ, I often take my salvation for granted. And snear at those who don’t follow Jesus.
What a great God we have, that we can bring nothing in our hands and be forgiven, clothed and loved. That’s our King!
And if Jesus is not yet your King, it’s so awesome you are here with us today but could I encourage you to keep coming, keep hearing God’s word.
Contact Cards:
Maybe you have a comment or prayer request, feel free to write them in your contact card. As a stuff team we really do read them and pray through them, we love hearing from you so please start finishing up those contact cards now and I’ll collect them shortly.
Why don’t we finish today in prayer:
Heavenly Father, what an amazing God you are, to save a wreck like us, to extend your love beyond our comprehension and show underserved mercy to creatures like us.
Lord you are mighty and perfect, thank you for the incredible reminder of your grace in Jesus, help us to respond in faith all the days of our lives.
As we go out today Lord we pray that your Word will not escape our minds, help us to continually live for your kingdom in all we do.
to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
