YOUR KING IS COMING

We have been in series on The Lord being our Refuge, our Shield, our Rock, our Fortress our Salvation

Last week we saw in Matthew 23 how Jesus had called out the hypocrisy and bondage of the religious system. The 8 times he stated “woe to you” for tying up heavy burdens and shutting off the kingdom to others and not even entering themselves.

Then in Matthew 24 His disciples like wow he was really upset with those Pharisees, Scribes and Religious leaders

Let’s change the subject “Lord do you see all these temple buildings?” The Lord responds all those will be torn down and not one stone left upon another”

Before Jesus entered Jerusalem on whats know as “Palm Sunday” He was on the the of Olives, He had been with Mary, Martha, Lazarus (describe a little)................. looking across the Kidron Valley over to Jerusalem, He weeps over Jerusalem and says “If you had known in this day the things that make for peace, but now they have been hidden before your eyes, He then goes on in Luke 19 ,43-44 and gives this initial statement which He later repeats to His disciples already being in Jerusalem

I’m so amazed how the Lord times things, as we started this Refuge Series weeks ago The Lord times this Palm Sunday message perfectly for today

Let’s look now as Jesus would make His descent on Mt of Olives, He has already sent His disciples to get a donkey colt and bring back for Him...... crowds and crowds now forming

Looking at 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah this event is more amazing than we really understand or miss the meaning altogether (describing all three books events)
