What do you treasure the most in your life?
What do you treasure the most in your life?
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week, a seven-day span that culminates the day before Easter Sunday. The feast commemorates Jesus' triumphant arrival in the city of Jerusalem for Passover, where he was greeted by a crowd of people laying palm branches at his feet.
What is the treasure of your heart?
When Jesus walked through the streets of Jersualem on Palm Sunday on a donkey, he came in peace and not to bring war.
Of all things that Jesus could have ridden on, he rode in through the streets of Jerusalem on a donkey.
Why not a chariot on a horse?
The horse represents war and not peace. There will come a day when Jesus will return on a white horse but it will be with vengeance not in peace in the time of revelation.
Jesus came to do one thing and to do one thing only. To deliver us from sin
Jesus didn’t come to deliver the people of Israel from Rome but to deliver them from sin and shame which is a far worse insidious enemy.
When the crowds of people became to loud with praise, the pharisees told Jesus to tell them to be quite in Luke 19:39
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
What you have to understand is that, the enemy loses his power when you praise. The enemy loses its foot hold in your mind when you praise. The enemy will war within himself when you praise
And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
When the pharisees told Jesus to rebuke the disciples, Jesus responded by saying in Luke 19:40
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
I don’t think many understand what this means, I will read it again!
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Meaning if the living wont praise me, I will raise the dead, and they will praise me.
King James Version (Psalm 117:1-2)
Psalm 1171 O praise the LORD, all ye nations:Praise him, all ye people.2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us:And the truth of the LORD endureth for ever.Praise ye the LORD.
King James Version (Psalm 118:1-9)
Psalm 1181 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:Because his mercy endureth for ever.2 Let Israel now say,That his mercy endureth for ever.3 Let the house of Aaron now say,That his mercy endureth for ever.4 Let them now that fear the LORD say,That his mercy endureth for ever.5 I called upon the LORD in distress:The LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear:What can man do unto me?7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me:Therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.9 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
When Jesus rode through Jerusalem, it should have been a joyous and celebratory time but Jesus was grieved and weeped in his heart because he knew that the same people who were praising his arrival through the streets of jerusalem, were the same people who would celebrate his crucifixion on the cross before pilot just one week later. Jesus knew in heart that these people were spiritually blind and could not see. These people were not aware of the God that dwelt among them in the flesh and were not aware of his visitation Luke 19:44
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
How many of us are spiritually blind and unaware of our time of visitation from the Lord? How many of us live to lease others who may stab us in back after smiling in our faces? Live your life for the one who delivered you! Live your life for the one who set you free! Live your life for God and not for man! I would rather be a fool for God rather than a fool for man!
My question to you brothers and sisters, when Jesus visited you, were you aware? and when he visited you, did you answer his call? Acknowledge the day of his visitation in your life and return back to your first love!
My father and my God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, visit me oh Lord in my circumstances and give me the grace to praise your name in every situation.
Visit me, visit me, visit me oh lord in my circumstance and give me the grace to praise your name in every situation.
