Jesus concludes the sermon on the mount by asking us to choose. There are only two options. Which way are you going? What fruit are you bearing? Whose will are you doing? Whose word are you obeying? He says there is destruction or life at stake. He says choosing to obey him is the wise way to life and the way to do the will of the Father. All this is founded upon trusting Jesus so that we are willing to obey him.
