Summary – Personal participation with God’s revival provides providential protection!
Jesus saved us from eternal death so we can live for Him
History – from a “mountaintop” perspective
Moses climbed Mt Sinai and met with God through the burning bush and accepted the call to rescue God’s people from slavery.
Moses left the mountain to return to Egypt to confront Pharoah with God’s WORD and God’s POWER
God supported Moses by performing nine plagues against the Egyptians
The 10th and final plague would occur on the night of Passover –
10 plagues, sometimes revival has to be fought for.
Are you willing to fight for revival?
Do you take the freedoms of others seriously have to press through regardless of the cost?
PROMISE of Revival = Encouragement
The Gospel is the Good News of freedom!
Even while still in Egypt, God’s PROCESS of revival starts with the PROMISE of revival
· God would deliver the nation of Israel on the last night of their 430th year in Egypt.
· Like the children of Israel, you may have been in bondage to sin that has enslaved you for years, such as addictions or anger, but let God bring you out!
· How do we obtain freedom?
Not by good works, but by God’s grace of substitution.
PROVISION for Revival = God’s Part
· God KNOWS what you need for revival – deliverance
· God HAS what you need for revival – a deliverer
· Jesus is the lamb of God, our substitute (John 1:29).
· He is the only person in the human race who has ever lived a sinless life.
· The rulers of Jesus day continually look for some fault and what Jesus would say or do, but no sin was ever found.
· All we must do is accept God’s free gift of salvation by giving Him our sin.
PARTICIPATION in Revival = Us
Life is in the blood
· Sin causes death, and blood must be shed to pay for it
· Since we cannot pay for our own sin with our own blood, we must rely on a substitute.
o In the Old Testament, the substitute for sin was a sacrificial animal.
o In the New Testament, our substitute is the Son of God himself.
Participation
· Even though God FULFILLED His part, our revival will never be complete without PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT.
· It is not enough to simply read about revival, we must do our part and become actively involved, both in God’s planand process of revival.
· The Hyssop branches represented the bitterness of slavery.
The top and sides of the door frame re a type and shadow of the cross of Calvary, on which Jesus, the Lamb of God, would shed His sinless blood for all of humanity once and for all.
· Personal salvation – like the Israelites of old, we too must apply the blood of the sacrificial lamb of Jesus to the door posts of our heart.
No one else can make your decision for you.
Personal revival begins with a personal responseto God’s leading.
PREPARATION for Revival = Urgency
· “Your instructions” – WE must be prepared for revival!
· Dressed, wear – prepared to GO – different clothes for different purposes – active wear vs sleeping wear
· Carry walking stick – prepared for the journey of revival, regardless of its length
· Eat – eating the lamb of God makes us prepared with energy for revival.
· Urgency – People have suffered long enough!
o God has announced that it is time for action!
o The prayers of God’s people have reached their fullness.
o Moses has obeyed God’s message and commands.
o Now the fullness of deliverance is upon an entire nation!
o Revival often begins quickly!
o Let’s live every day as if today is our day for revival.
· Passover = “to spare”
· Israel’s cooperation with God’s revival resulted in them being spared from the death and destruction in and of the world around them.
o In these last days, God will again spare His people from the end time wrath that is coming upon the Egyptian system of human bondage in our generation.
· Revival ends the last night of misery!

Our Turn
Isn’t it wonderful how God used a fearful fugitive to free the families of Israel?
If God could use Moses, he can use anyone willing to carry out God‘s plan for revival in our generation.
Moses personal revival took him into Egypt.
Israel’s public revival brought them out of Egypt.
Corporate revival not only set free individuals, but also marriages, families, communities, even the entire nation.
The necessity for revival cannot be stressed enough.
Its far-reaching effects can transform masses of people in a very short period.
Haven’t we lost enough already?
Has not the church had enough defeat and delay that we will not use this time to press through to victory?
The church needs to see people through the eyes of our Father.
As God saw the hurting masses under the brutal end of Egyptian taskmasters, so should today’s church see our society through eyes of compassion to the point of intervention in the form of intercession for those held captive and exercising spiritual authority over the forces of darkness that will try to keep generations in bondage.
REMEMBER the Revival = All Generations
Last Supper = Remembers our Passover Revival
Christ our Passover Lamb
Today, we remember Jesus as our sacrificial lamb when we take communion.
Jesus’ shed blood has given us mountains of protection from the enemy’s destruction through sin.
Jesus’ broken body has given us mountains of provision through healing.
Jesus is our personal revival from spiritual death!
