Don’t Rush the Resurrection

Matthew 27:57–65 NKJV

Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb. On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’ Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.” Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.”

Matthew 28:1–8 NKJV

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

STRENGTH of Sunday

Jesus was Betrayed, Denied, brought before Judge and Jury, “(the Same People he was a blessing too were the same people who cry out Crucify him.” They Beat Him and left him for Dead on an old rugged cross and. A crown of thorns on his brow. he Stayed on that Cross until the debt was paid, they thought Killed Him. But I heard him say to Pilate you can’t take my life; I lay down my life.

We understand being betrayed, we understand being denied, we understand when those with Power or hungry for Power would rather see you sink than to see me swim. They would rather see me die than survive.

The people that you took care of will betray you,

The people that said they will have your back will deny you and act brand new.

The same people who smile in face, will be the same people who will stab you in your back

The same people who Love you when you’re looking out for them will turn on you. Because they think, you think your better than them. The truth be told it nothing but the favor of God on your life.

Matt 5:11-12

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Hebrews 12:1-2

1Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

There are times when you Need Faith, Favor, and Joy to Get Through your Crucifixion.

Favor will Handle This!!!

My FAITH activates my FAVOR

My FAVOR release my JOY

MY JOY strengthens me to Endure.

On Friday Jesus Died, He sacrifice His self once and for all.

He was buried in Joseph of Arimathea New Tomb and the Stone was Sealed.

It was almost the Sabbath, so they put him in the Tomb, because it was the time of preparation for the Sabbath. It was time to Get ready for Worship.

It was Favor on Friday, But it is a Shift on Saturday.

2. The Shift on Saturday

It was Shift on Saturday in both the Physical and Spiritual World.

For his disciples When Jesus Died, Hope Died, Love Died, Purpose Died.

They were afraid, they were hiding out, they thought they were next.

They reverted to Fear instead of waiting in Faith.

They had nothing to look forward too!!! They went back to doing what they were use too.

Let’s be honest. We have been in a pandemic and some of us went back to doing what we use to do.

When Jesus is dead, we revert backwards to what we use to do. We lose MIRACLES, WE LOOSE SIGNS, WE LOOSE WONDERS. BECAUSE He DEAD. MY FUTURE is DEAD. EVERYTHING SHIFTS ON SATURDAY. I’m supposed to be worshipping the GOD who delivered me and set me free. But where do I go when the one who has the words of eternal life is DEAD.

Do I have anybody in here that Has experienced TRAUMA!!!! I’m not talking about DRAMA, I’m talking about TRAUMA!!!

Drama is an exciting, emotional unexcepted experience.

Trauma is a forceful, stressful, emotional experience force upon you. Which leaves long lasting affects

PTSD and trying to worship--- It was the religious leaders that killed him. They dealing with PTSD from Church HURT.

Tell your neighbor Today the Trauma is over!!!!

We rush past Saturday and don’t deal with the grief of Saturday. Saturday is the day after the funeral, after ash to ashes and dust to dust. It is after the repass, after the calls have stopped, it is when the solitude turns into loneliness. In the PHYSICAL They are Worshipping but they are hurting. They are Dealing with Church Hurt!!!

1 Peter 3:18

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,

In the Spirit Realm, Jesus was in the Spirit, and he preach to the spirits.

I am in a theological conundrum right (Eschatology)

Luke 16:19-31 Rich and Lazarus Poor who beg

They both died but one went to Abraham bosom and the other went to Hell.

The Rich Man asked for a drip of water which mean he could see over into Abraham

He was in Hell but could see Heaven and Heaven could see those which were in Hell.

They were with the Father of the Faith and Jesus preach in Spirit to those who had died and were in the spirit realm.

That why he said in John 14:1 to his disciples Let not your heart be trouble

In my Father’s house

We have a budling not made with man’s hand eternal in the heaven.

In the Physical Realm they were agitated

In the Spiritual Realm they Were Awakened

In the Physical Realm they were Bitter

In the Spiritual Realm they were Blessed

In the Physical Realm they were Comfortless

In the Spiritual Realm they were Comforted

In the Physical Realm they were Distraught

In the Spiritual Realm they were Delighted

In the Physical Realm they were Traumatized

In the Spiritual Realm they were Transformed

Jesus Did a one night Revival Hell. Everything Shifted on Saturday

It is not only the FAVOR Friday, the Shift on Saturday.

3. Strength of Sunday

Look at Matt. 27:51-53

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Daniel 12:2, “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,”
