In just a moment, you’re going to go to your area and wait for the horn…
Then you will run as fast as you can and pickup as many eggs as you can. The eggs you find will be:
· Different colors (pink, orange, yellow, green, blue—some are mixed)
· Different kinds of candy
· Different prizes
There is 1 egg out here that is the most important (I think). I have it right here. What’s inside this egg is the greatest, most exciting, most wonderful thing…OPEN…What???
EMPTY—how can an empty egg be exciting? B/c it reminds me of an empty tomb (where people who have died are put). So many years ago…there was a man who was put in a tomb b/c He died. In fact, He died the death that everybody deserves to die—but He didn’t deserve to die…but He did. And He was put in a tomb and on the 3rd day He rose up from the dead and came out of that tomb.
That tomb is empty. This egg reminds me of that great event…the reason we celebrate Easter. It is because LJC died for sins (all the things that you do that displease God). He took the penalty for your sin (which is death) on Himself and God judged Him as though He committed every sin He was paying the price for (but He committed no sin). When God’s wrath was finished, Jesus died and rose again on the 3rd day.
What an awesome thing to celebrate. Jesus died and rose again—He did it b/c He loves you and wants you to trust in Him for forgiveness of your sin.
If you would like to know more about how that can happen—go the “connection booth” and we’ll tell you more and we have a little gift to give you.
