Introduction

Pat Lencioni “I was sitting with one of my colleges and I was in a meeting, and I had another meeting to hold some people accountable for something over zoom. Then I was coming up with another new idea and I was stressed out. And she asked, “Why do you do what you do?” And I said I don’t know but I really want to find out. Within a couple of hours with her and a couple more colleges I came up with this model. I wrote it on the whiteboard at work, I went home, told my wife about it. And that night I had a zoom meeting with one of our consultants and I wrote it on my whiteboard to share it with him because it was interesting to me. The next morning, he was working with a CEO and that guy was struggling and our consultant shared the model. And the CEO started to cry because it blew him away, what it explained to him about his own frustration and his team. And from that day forward we were talking about it in my office, with our family and friends, and clients and people could not stop talking about it. And that’s how we got here.”
