He is Risen, as He Said

In Matthew’s account, we find two key words: behold (or see) and fear. His account of the resurrection is both genuinely humane and immensely comforting. We are to read this and believe the angel’s message and the risen Christ that appeared to these women. Matthew wants his readers to behold the resurrection in our hearts, and in such a way that Christ might abolish our fears.
