The Resurrection and the
New Covenant
Luke 22:14-20
14When
the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve
apostles with Him. 15Then He said to them, "With [fervent]
desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I
suffer; 16"for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is
fulfilled in the kingdom of God."
17Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take
this and divide [it] among yourselves; 18"for I say to you, I
will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God
comes." 19And He took bread, gave thanks and broke [it],
and gave [it] to them, saying, "This is My body which is
given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 20Likewise He
also [took] the cup after supper, saying, "This cup [is] the
new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
Luke 24:5-7
5And
as they were afraid, and bowed down [their]
faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye
the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but is
risen: remember how he spake unto you when he
was yet in Galilee, 7Saying, The Son of man must be
delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be
crucified, and the third day rise again.
Acts 2:24, 31, 32
24Whom
God hath raised up, having loosed the
pains of death: because it was not possible that he
should be holden of it.
31He
seeing this before spake of the resurrection of
Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his
flesh did see corruption. 32This Jesus hath God
raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Acts 3:14-15
14"But
you denied the Holy One and the Just, and
asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15"and
killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the
dead, of which we are witnesses.
Acts 4:33
And with great power the apostles gave witness to
the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace
was upon them all.
Acts 10:39-40
39“And
we are witnesses of all things which He did
both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom
they killed by hanging on a tree. 40“Him God raised
up on the third day, and showed Him openly,
1 Corinthians 15:14, 17, 20
14And
if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is
empty and your faith is also empty.
17And
if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are
yet in your sins.
20But
now Christ is risen from the dead, and has
become the firstfruits of those who have fallen
asleep.
1 Corinthians 15:54-57
54So
when this corruptible has put on incorruption,
and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be
brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is
swallowed up in victory.” 55“O Death, where is your
sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56The sting
of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in
triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the
fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

John 11:21-26
Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been
here, my brother would not have died. 22“But even
now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will
give You.” 23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise
again.” 24Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise
again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25Jesus
said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He
who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26“And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never
die. Do you believe this?”
21Now
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has
begotten us again to a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Colossians 2:12-13
12buried
with Him in baptism, in which you also were
raised with Him through faith in the working of God,
who raised Him from the dead. 13And you, being
dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of
your flesh, He has made alive together with Him,
having forgiven you all trespasses,

eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in
the saints, 19and what is the exceeding greatness of
His power toward us who believe, according to the
working of His mighty power 20which He worked in
Christ when He raised Him from the dead and
seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
Philippians 3:10-11, 13
10that
I may know Him and the power of His
resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being conformed to His death, 11if, by any means, I
may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
13Brethren,
I do not count myself to have
apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind and reaching forward to
those things which are ahead,
2 Corinthians 1:8-10
8For
we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of
our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were
burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that
we despaired even of life. 9Yes, we had the sentence
of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in
ourselves but in God who raises the dead, 10who
delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver
us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,

1Now
as they spoke to the people, the priests, the

upon them, 2being greatly disturbed that they taught
the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection
from the dead.

resurrection, came to Him and asked Him,
answered and said to them, “You are
mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power
of God.
