The Resurrection and the New Covenant Luke 22:14-20 14When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15Then He said to them, "With [fervent] desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16"for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God." 17Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this and divide [it] among yourselves; 18"for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." 19And He took bread, gave thanks and broke [it], and gave [it] to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 20Likewise He also [took] the cup after supper, saying, "This cup [is] the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 24:5-7 5And as they were afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. Acts 2:24, 31, 32 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Acts 3:14-15 14"But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15"and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. Acts 4:33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. O Hades, where is your victory?” 56The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. Justification - John 11:21-26 - 1 Peter 1:3 - Colossians 2:12-13 - Romans 4:16 John 11:21-26 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22“But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26“And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
