Your Father in Heaven will Reward You.
Your Father in Heaven will Reward You.
What & Why are there Rewards?
What & Why are there Rewards?
God will give rewards in heaven at the bema, or the judgment seat of Christ, based on our faithfulness in service to Him (2 Corinthians 5:10). The rewards will show the reality of our sonship (Galatians 4:7) and the justice of God (Hebrews 6:10). God will give rewards in heaven in order to fulfill the law of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7–9) and make good on His promise that our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Our rewards in heaven depend on the goodness and power of God. Through Christ’s resurrection we gain an inheritance in heaven; on earth our faith is tested and results in praise and glory and honor when Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:3–9). The things we do in this life are only permanent (that is, carried with us into heaven) if they are built on the foundation, which is Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11–15).
Any rewards or honor we gain in heaven will be precious to us because they carry the weight and meaning of our relationship with God—and because they remind us of what He did through us on earth.
rewards in heaven glorify God and provide us with joy, peace, and wonder as we consider God’s work in us and through us. The closer we were to God during this life, the more centered on Him and aware of Him, the more dependent on Him,

We will consider the rewards of the 5 Crowns. Not every crown is for every believer.
We will consider the rewards of the 5 Crowns. Not every crown is for every believer.
The Victor’s Crown- 1 Cor. 9:25-27; The Crown of Rejoicing-1 Thes. 2.19; The Crown of Righteousness-2 Tim. 4:8; The Crown of Life- James 1:12, Rev. 2.10; The Crown of Glory- 1 Peter 5:4
The Victor’s Crown- 1 Cor. 9:25-27; The Crown of Rejoicing-1 Thes. 2.19; The Crown of Righteousness-2 Tim. 4:8; The Crown of Life- James 1:12, Rev. 2.10; The Crown of Glory- 1 Peter 5:4
Because of the death & resurrection of Christ we are suited for Heaven. More precisely, because of the power of the resurrection, we can live a life in this world that is glorifying to God. Increasing glory as Paul describes it. It is within the awareness of this potential life that God encourages his children. This encouragement is in the form of rewards. We are told of these rewards, not as bribes, rather as an awareness of what God desires and intends to do for his children. These are according to our living.
When we stand before the Judgement seat of Christ, our life-serving will be evaluated and rewarded.
David Jeremiah says, “with perfect knowledge, He, Jesus, will assess our every thought, motive, and action. The prospect of this coming judgement should motivate us to be more like Christ in our daily life, running our spiritual race toward His heavenly reward.
The Victor’s (Incorruptible) Crown- 1 Cor. 9:25-27
Incorruptible crown is a crown for people who brought their body unto subjection; disciplined their body; – had self-control.
1 Corinthians 9:25–27 (ESV)

They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
We need to contend like Olympic athletes in life because God and the people we love deserve our best efforts. God is glorified and our loved ones are blessed when we pay a price to grow in Christlikeness, maximize our gifts, and walk in our purpose.
The Crown of Rejoicing-1 Thes. 2.19; 1 Thessalonians 2:19–20 (ESV)
19 For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? 20 For you are our glory and joy.
This crown is awarded to those who bring others to Christ. It is often called the Soul-winners crown, and it is the reward given to those who reach out beyond themselves and lead others to Heaven.
The Crown of Righteousness-2 Tim. 4:8; This is a crown for every person who loves the appearing of Jesus Christ like Timothy. A crown for those ready and waiting for Jesus Christ coming. The crown of righteousness is for every saved person.
The Crown of Life- James 1:12, Rev. 2.10;
Crown of life is a crown for people who have patiently endured trials, testing and persecution. It is for the people who bravely confront persecution for Jesus Christ even to the point of death.
MISSIONARIES, 3RD WORLD BELIEVERS.
The Crown of Glory- 1 Peter 5:4 SPECIFIC TO THE CALLED OF GOD FOR MINISTRY!
1 Peter 5:4 (ESV) 4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Crown of glory is a crown for every person who feeds the flock; – the pastors, apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, ministers and every person carrying out the great commission.
It is a crown for the Peters, Pauls, Johns and every God’s servant preaching the gospel to every creature. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature Mk 16:15.
This is the crown I am fighting for, remaining strong in faith and preaching the gospel no matter what comes my way as I strongly guard my crown. My heart rejoices when I remember the great reward awaiting me in heaven; the crown of Glory.
There are people who will have more than one type of crowns in heaven. Which is/are your crowns?
You have what you need now to make your choice. Make a good choice.
What will we do with these crowns?
Rev. 4:10-11 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever.
