I. Introduction
Over the last few weeks, we have been dealing with the meaning and with some of the implications of the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world.
His magnificence in death was surpassed by His climactic and glorious resurrection on the third day which Christians world wide celebrated last Sunday.
Today we want to begin a short series called “Encounters with the Risen Christ!” where we examine the personal appearances of Jesus with His disciples after He had been raised from the dead.
Jesus’ disciples had to begin to think of Him in new ways as they encountered Him again.
They had to come to grips with the appearance of Jesus after He had died!
Those appearances should encourage our hearts and strengthen our faith in the resurrected Lord Jesus.
