From Christ to the Disciples

When I was a soldier in the Iraqi war, the time came for my unit to redeploy to Germany and give the reigns of Zone 22 in Baghdad to our replacements. In the book of Acts, Luke tells Theophilus that his first book tells what ministry was like while Jesus was leading the work, but the second book is about the transfer of His power and authority to His followers. Hence, a narrative about those who believed in Him. vv1-2

Ministry of the Risen Savior

The disciples were chosen by Jesus and he exposed them to the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit in his exploits that revealed his omnipresence, omniscience, and his omnipotence; thereby asserting himself as worthy of their obedience and allegiance to him as followers. v3.
Not everyone got to see the resurrected sacior
The disciples now apostles were the first teachers of the Kingdom

Jesus Completed His Earthly Ministry

until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.
