A Victorious Church
A Victorious Church
I know that God is doing some amazing things here at Tower Hill, people are not just saying we are the church, but They being the church. I want to share with you, that God wants His church to be a victorious.
Victorious:
A successful ending of a struggle or military battle”. It is used in that sense in 1 Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
When I use the word, “Church,” I am not taking about the building. I am talking about you and me.
The word Church in the Gk. mean, “called out.”
So here’s a question: Are we a victorious church?
Are you a victorious called out person?
You know who you are, and you know to whom belong. You also know that God has called you more than conquer.
We are not just conquers we are more than conquers, (Romans 8:37) we are a victorious Church.
So How does a person become victorious?
A Victorious Church Is An Equipped.
A Victorious Church Is An Equipped.
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
GIFTS, SPIRITUAL (Gk. charismata, “gifts of grace”)
My responsibility
12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
As a steward Of this ministry that God has place in my hands and one day I will have give account for. I am to help equip the church to be able to do the work of building up the Church, the body of Christ.
The word Equip in Gk. means to, “Make Fully Ready”.
Look at verse 13
The Results
14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Equipping Is About Seeing The Church Mature
We will be no longer immature
We won’t be tossed and blown
We will not be influenced
We will speak the truth in love.
Growing in every way more and more like Christ.
As each part does its own special work.
It helps the body of Christ grow.
That we the body Christ will be healthy and growing and full of love.
A Victorious Church Walk In Faith, No Longer Just Talking About Faith.
A Victorious Church Walk In Faith, No Longer Just Talking About Faith.
13 Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. 14 If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. 15 For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)
16 So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17 That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.
18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” 19 And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.
20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
22 And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. 23 And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded 24 for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
In Hebrews 11, we read about all the things that were done by faith.
Just as we read about all that was done by faith in the book of Hebrews, I pray that in the years to come people will be telling there children about the church of our day, that we were people of faith that did great things for the Kingdom of God.
A Victorious Church Lives The Word
A Victorious Church Lives The Word
21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ 48 You are witnesses of all these things.
49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”
13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.
Why does God want these things for His church? That we will fulfill the Great Commission.
15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
When the Father comes back He’s not coming back for a defeated, disgruntled, discontented church. The church He’s is coming back for a Victorious church.
27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
We are a church that is walking in Faith, Living by the Word God, and is Empower by the Holy Spirit. “You are a victorious church.”
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
