Scripture
2 Samuel 12:5-8,14
5 So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this [a]shall surely die! 6 And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.”
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
8 I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!
14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”
One of the most dangerous things any person can do is to put another person or themselves on a proverbial pedestal. “To believe or behave as if someone or something is perfect, wonderful, or better than others, to the extent that one is unable to see its potential flaws or faults. For we all are subject to fall. The problem is not so much in the fall, although it should not be taken lightly, or as an opportunity to continue to do it because God is a forgivng God but what we must pay close attention is on our recovery when we fall
This begs me to ask the question
What do you do during your recovery process?
There is a saying “The Mind is a Terrible Thing To Waste”… I agree with this whole heartily, but we must be also be cognizant of the Clean Up Antagonist, this is the spirit that comes in search of residue, unchecked sin, unrepentant or any areas of darkness as a thriving place that can be used against you in efforts to destroy you....
The passage.—The Lord sent Nathan, his prophet, to David to expose the folly circling his life. He began with a parable. There were two men in a certain city. One was rich and the other poor. The poor man had only one little ewe lamb that had been like a member of his family. When the rich man had a guest to entertain, instead of killing one of his many sheep, he stole his poor neighbor’s lamb and killed it for his feast. As David heard the story he became angry. “The man who had done this deserves to die,” he said. Nathan replied, “You are the man.”
“What does one do when God exposes our fallacies, faults, and flop ups
Do we cower away?
Blame shift? Go back the the Garden of Eden mentality it was the woman no it was the man no it was the serpent mentality
Or Deflect from the situation at hand
No we do what the Bible says “We acknowledge Him (be careful of the capitalization) in all ours ways (God knows our frame really well…) knowing that he will direct our paths”

IF GOD KNOWS ALL THE AND ABOVE
What make you think that he does not now when we miss the mark openly and privately?
The Bible say
Nathan reviewed God’s blessings upon David and exposed his sin fully.
“Before there was Big Daddy King it was God who proclaimed that he did not half stepping
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (
Hebrews 4:13
).
He prophesied the consequences that would follow the sins.
‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.

1)The sword would never depart from David’s house.
2)His own family would be openly immoral.
3)The child conceived in sin would die.
And yet in the midst thereof there was
1)Acknowledgement of his sin
2) There was an asking to be pardon Psalm 32 Psalm 51
But the just side of God had to still decree the sentence
What do we do when God’s sentence has been decreed
Bathsheba’s baby became very sick, and although Nathan had told him the baby would die, David prayed for it to get well. He would not eat, but mourned and prayed continually.
He did all that he could for the sake of his child, but God’s word could not return to him void.....
After a week the baby died.
The Bible goes on to say that David’s servants feared to tell him, but David heard the whispers and from that knew within that death had come....
You see one would think that “Bathsheba would have been punished for her part in the sins of David.
Although “ it does not appear that she was punished with the same severity as he was, it must be kept in mind that we do not have all of the record.
But note that God never leaves a stone uturned
“Our sins will always find us” Be sure your sin will find you out” (
Numbers 32:23
)
Truth for today.—The overcoming grace of God in spite of the sin of man is seen in that God chose to use Solomon. Jesus was born of the line that came from David and Bathsheba. No one should ever feel that his background disqualifies him for useful service for God.
Sin does have severe consequences beyond the persons who are guilty. The social implications of sin should be taken into account. The death of Uriah and many others in the battle at Rabbah, the death of the infant, the immorality of the children of David, and the bloodshed for many years speak so loudly, “Be sure your sin will find you out.” What David did in secret has become the most widely known act of immorality in the history of the world.1
20 So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate. 2
