God is that Rock!
Psalm 18:1-19
Introduction:
In this life all that we have that is of this world is sinking sand, In Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”
Hebrews 12:27 “And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.”
The reason a relationship with Jesus is so critical is that everything you need is in that rock, it’s the only thing in your life that won’t sink.
The only thing that will last, the only thing that will see you through is in that rock.
