What is your response to Jesus’ death? What is the result of it in your life? In Matthew’s account of the gospel, we read about all sorts of things that happened when Jesus ‘gave up his spirit’. There was darkness for 3 hours, the curtain of the temple tore down the middle, there was a massive earthquake, and tombs broke open. You could say this was nature’s ‘response’. And you might even be able to explain it away as natural phenomena. But that doesn’t explain the dead people coming out of the tombs and wandering around. And it doesn’t explain the centurion’s (and others’) pronouncement of faith in the ‘Son of God’. Ultimately, we have to see it as God’s response to Jesus’ death, and the results that he causes. So what will be the result in your life? What will be your response? Speaker: Dan Kroon
