The Rise of the False Prophet

He will have the authority of the first beast

He will do signs to deceive the Jews

He will cause all the inhabitant upon the earth to build an image of the first beast and worship it

The Image will have those who do not worship it put to death

Those who worship the beast will be given a mark, which is the name of the first beast

The mark is not given until the second half of the tribulation

The mark is visible

The mark is the name of the man of lawlessness

The Rest of the Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand, Revelation 14:1-5

The Lamb Standing on Mount Zion, Revelation 14:1

Revelation 14:1

And behold, also I saw the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His father written upon their foreheads.

At the Beginning of the Millennial Kingdom

Christ has Returned to Earth and Has Destroyed His Enemies

The One Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand are Before the Lamb

Those Sealed at the Beginning of Mid-Tribulation, Revelation 7:3-4

Of the Tribes of Israel

They Spread the Message of the Gospel of the Kingdom Throughout the Entire Earth, Revelation 7:9

The Song of the One Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand, Revelation 14:2-3

Revelation 14:2–3

And I heard a sound out from the heaven as a sound of many waters and as a sound of great thunder and the sound that I heard as harpist playing on their harps.

And they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders and no one had the ability to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, the ones redeemed from the earth.

The Sound is of Many Singing

Only They are Able to Learn their Song

They Sing before the Living Creatures and the Elders

The Four Living Creatures are the Cherubim Before the Throne, Revelation 4:6

Revelation 4:6

And before the throne as a sea of glass, like crystal.

And in the midst of the throne and encircling the throne four living creatures, full of eyes in front and in back.

The Elders are the Twenty-Four Priests of the Church Sitting on the Throne With Christ, Revelation 4:4

And circling the throne, twenty-four thrones.

And upon the twenty-four thrones elders were seated, clothed with white garments and golden victor’s wreaths upon their heads.

This Puts Them Now in the Heavenly Jerusalem

The Living Creatures and Elders Would Understand the Song

No Others Living on Earth will Have the Ability to Learn this Song

It is a Song Specific to Their Redemption

They Remained Undefiled and Did not Lie, Revelation 14:4-5

Revelation 14:4–5

These are the ones not defiled with women, for they are virgins.

They are the ones who follow the Lamb, first fruits of the God and the Lamb.

And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless.

They Remained Virgins

They Spoke the Truth of the Messiah and the Gospel of the Kingdom of the Heavens

They are the First Fruits of Israel

They are Blameless

The Eternal Gospel, Revelation 14:6-7

A Messenger with the Eternal Gospel, Revelation 14:6

Revelation 14:6

And behold another messenger flying in [the] midst of heaven, having an eternal gospel to gospelize upon the ones residing upon the earth and upon all the nations and tribes and tongues and peoples,

The Messenger (Angel) is seen in the midst of the heaven

The Eagle in the midst of the heaven, Revelation 8:13

The Angel calling the birds to the feast of the Lamb, Revelation 19:17

It is a Message for the Ones Dwelling Upon the Earth

They are Seated Upon the Earth

Not the Earth Dwellers, Revelation 13:8

It is Eternal - A Gospel that Relates to Eternity

It is a Gospel that Goes Out to All Peoples Sitting Upon the Earth

The Gospel, Revelation 14:7

Revelation 14:7

saying in a great voice, “Fear the God and give to Him a proper opinion, because the hour of His judgment came.

And all of you worship the Maker of the heaven and the earth and the sea and springs of waters.”

They are to Fear God

The Hour of His Judgment Came

Past Tense

ἦλθεν - Aorist Active Indicative

At the Time of Writing the Event Has Already Happened

We are in the Millennial Kingdom at this time

It is a message brought by an angel, not men

They are to Worship the Maker of the Heaven, Earth, Sea, and Springs of Waters

In Contrast to what Humans have been doing

Did not Glorify God, Romans 1:21

Exchange the Glory of God for that of Corruptible Humans, Romans 1:23

Worshiped the creation rather than the Creator, Romans 1:25

They are to Give Him Proper Credit for What He Has Done

The nation of Israel will be under a new covenant, Jeremiah 31:31-34

Israel will be a Nation of Priest, Zechariah 8:23

Conclusion

The One Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand Are At Rest
